Hi all,

So sad - Ohio State lost in a really close game. Really close game the whole way - never let up. And, of course, I picked OSU all the way through my bracket. But it was a really exciting game to watch.

Ours usually leave in Aug or Sept if I remember correctly. I live close to the Inlet and get several who like to nest in our neighborhood. A neighbor has a very tall spruce tree with a perfect "bowl" at the top for a nest. Every year, without fail, a nest is built, the eggs are laid and shortly after the chicks hatch, they fall out of the nest (about 2 stories) and bounce-YUP! Then they scramble through the neighborhood with the parents on constant watch to keep everyone/thing away. So when I walk my dog I have to carry an umbrella to fight them off, literally. The sad part of this whole story is that the parents eventually abandon them because they don't nest on the ground. Once the nesting in the neighborhood is finished they head back to the inlet area for normal fishing. It's a cycle, but not the most ideal one.Frown
