One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

Paul-Love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost...so I had to see this...really funny movie! It was as the kids say.."a rollicking romp!"

Lots of old school references and some cussing and religious questioning...but if you know these guys and jeeze it does have an alien..I guess you already know!! LOL

Thanks to the recent talk here, I watched Before the Devil Knows You're Dead last night. I thought it was really good, but now I wonder what happened to one particular character at the end.

Operation Endgame - WTF? So much potential there with an interesting plot concept and some good casting but it was completely wasted on one of the worst scripts ever written. Awful.

Chloe - Predictable. Letting the audience find out before the main character does is an extremely over-used technique in film making.

Diary of a wimpy kid - 3/5 - Cute movie, I thought it'd be more or so about bullying and stuff but it wasn't.
The Killer Inside Me - 2.5/5 - Borderline softporn movie laugh out loud. About a serial killer who falls in love with a hooker he murders which leads him into murdering more people.

If you have not read the books yet...get them..they are a great time!!!

I don't read... Frown I don't enjoy reading what-so-ever. Tried it and can never finish a book. Embarrassment So I'll end my venture at the movie. Smilie

I watched The Losers last night (for the 2nd time). Still quite enjoyable. Watched it when it originally came out on Blu-Ray. Went into it not expecting much, and it was a fun, action-y movie, that when it got to the "serious" parts, it was treated seriously.

Tonight, I've got Skyline which I rented today on Blu-Ray. I'm pretty sure it's gonna suck content wise, but I'm in the mood to see shit blow up. laugh out loud

I thought the Expendables was good, not great though. I'll re-watch it in a few months probably. My go to movie for now for good action/story is Inception. Love that movie. Smilie
