One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.)
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

Spy next door - Mehhh...kid flick.
The first 10 minutes of The American is interesting. After that save some of your life and go do something else.
Tangled is not a movie I'd reccomend. It wasn't terrible but there are many Disney movies that are more entertaining.
I've been watching Spartacus on Netflix streaming and it's a great show. I can't say I like the main character but I do want him to survive when he fights.

Werner Herzog's Encounters at the End of the World. It really lacked focus on any particular subject but the few interviews he did with some of the researchers living there were priceless. I had no idea seals made "Led Zepplin" noises! Cinematography was outstanding but the score selection for the scenes was high pitched and irritating.
-Looks like a low budget movie
-Horrible acting (except for the mad doctor)
-Too many times where the actors would do/not do something thats common sense..its like... really?
-Ending sucked
Basically..don't ever pay to watch this movie..it is a little disgusting but nothing over the top. The plot is the same ol generic horror movie theme. 2 dumb girls get lost on a way to a nightlcub..they get a flat tire..they wander into the woods...etc etc
"Pi" - I watched it when it came out back in the 90s - I thought maybe I'd get a bit more out of it all these years later. Not really, but I did see a lot of "Eraserhead" in the movie.

Both were better then I thought they were going to be. Liked them,and would watch again a few months down the line.
