how did the doc go?

Wonderfully! We got all of the lab results back, and they couldn't have looked any better! The ultrasound went well, but was a bit rushed- our appt was for 1pm, but they didn't see us until 2:30. We found out a little later that the couple having the ultrasound right before us either lost or was losing their baby, and that's what was going on. They looked very young and were crying in the waiting room. It automatically took me back 6 years to when we were that couple. It made me so incredibly thankful that we are blessed with a healthy baby this time.
Since the tech was rushing the ultrasound, we only got 3 pics, but they were good ones. Two of her face, and one of her girlie parts. Dh is going to scan them in for me tonight and I'll put them on FB. She's nearly a pound! Since the test results and u/s looked so good, the perinatologist said that we don't need to come back to him, and can just continue seeing the regular ob!

It was a Friday at 5pm, and they couldn't find an ultrasound tech to do the u/s, and then they couldn't find the dr to deliver the "news," after we got the u/s, so we went in with car seat and bag packed, all excited to finally have our baby, and wound up sitting in a waiting room in the hospital for an hour knowing she was gone, but no one would tell us. Then we went to the labor and delivery floor and they induced. They put us in the room the farthest away from the nursery and other delivering moms, and then put a butterfly sticker on the door so staff would know and not congratulate us or anything.

My sis#1 just had a baby boy on sat, but sis#2 who has been riddled with fertiliy problems and tried for 7 yrs for baby#1, just found out shes prego again they had decided not even to try anymore after #1 so they and we are over the moon with excitement for them

we all need to go post in hd so we can at least look up posts and rep everyone in here seems to post only in chat threads where no reps are allowed

This is the shot. I think I used my 50mm 1.8 and it is just not as sharp as I would like. nice, but I think I can do better.

Hmmm, apparently I am no longer able to rep in this specific forum. How long has that been the case? I guess that would be a clue as to how long it has been since I have considered repping yall.

So I just got home a little bit ago. Soph and I went out to do errands and it took forever! Like always I did too much, and now I am paying for it I got her registered for K, went to kohls, cvs, library, B&N (last 3 to look for codes), ate lunch, then onto T, costco for gas, and finally SW. I should have stopped at RA as well, but I was just too tired to do it.

No fight with my DH yesterday but we went straight to my cousins for dinner last night so we really had no time to get into a fight! I got another big diaper delivery yesterday too! I am so grateful to you guys it really is amazing!! It is also a gift that will keep on giving for a long time. I had to make a space in the basement behind the water heater to store the diapers and later when I went to shower we had no hot water!! DH went down to look and it looks like I turned the temperature down when I was moving stuff around!

Kootz, I have yt's for you. I have 10's for you too. The only thing I don't have are yj's.I'm glad Bianca is at least eating for you. Thats a good sign. Furchildren are smart (sometimes I think smarter) just like real children and sometimes they figure out if they act like they don't want to eat you will feed them the good tasting stuff. Maybe she is starting to feel a little better but is enjoying the turkey Hey can you blame her? I hope you get good news from these tests and that real soon she will be back to her old self!

Sorry about the fight, but I understand your issue, I would have been pissed too. I sometimes have to get onto DH because he reads the paper while we are eating. My problem with it is just that it is a family meal and half the time if he's reading the paper the kids will start talking to him and he won't even hear them! I just believe the meal time together is important to talk to each other and you can read the paper (or text or play video games or whatever) afterward when we are all doing other things.

Sucky day here for me. I had to stay late last night to do computer & software updates after hours at the pharmacy. Got done with the bulk of it at 8 pm. Talked with tech support who said the remaining updates would take awhile and I should just start them and leave and this morning they would be completed and I'd just need to restart the computers. I was planning to leave at noon today to make up for my extra hours, go Amazon code hunting in the city, get a new digital camera and take DD to the doctor. No such luck..............this morning got here and guess the updates weren't completed 5 hours after I left last night when our backup kicked on and stopped them. So now they are still updating and I can't leave. So don't know if I'll try to go another day or wait until Saturday..........

I was thinking I would make it my holiday stamp... the photostamps that kootz gave me 2 xmases ago. The photo would be small enough that the slight imperfection wouldn't bother me.

And I didn't bw w/ focus on the pink... and it was nice, but that isn't really my preference when it comes to photography.

Actually DH gave me a very sincere apology this morning. I about fainted! I never brought it up again and he was waiting for me to get off the phone and I thought he was going to say something critical again. Instead he was waiting to aplogize. Very nice.

Fortunately this is NOT a problem in my family. DH also believes in dinner time being for dinner and talking.

Good hunting trip today but not a lot of shopping time

Furgirl is still a puzzle that no one can put together. We think we are going to slowly taper her off her current seizure med and try another but will know more in a day or two.
I found a dog food today that she ate. I am hoping she will like it tomorrow.
While at the vet today, doc opened a can of dogfood called A/D for anorexic dogs...She said there is not a dog in the world that doesn't love it...Guess who walked away from it
