I felt the same way as you, but about the Lord of Light BS instead.
But, when you think about the Lord of Light, and The Others, and the book series is called A Song of Ice and Fire... So I am assuming Lord of Light = Fire, The Others/White Walkers/North of the Wall = Ice
Could mean something else though. But I think this is where the story is really supposed to go.

Season three will air on 3/31/2013.
For a list (or video) of who is joining the cast mash here [eonline.com]. The new additions are a bunch of really great actors. I'm especially excited to see that joining the cast are Diana Rigg, Ellie Kendrick and especially Thomas Brodie-Sangster who although young is just a brilliant actor.
