I'm trying, but I was really really looking forward to it. They just moved back here and it was going to be the first Mother's Day we were all together in years.

Honest to God...that man went to sleep before me last night, kept me awake..I had to sleep on the pull out and my back is killing me because of it..he sleeps until 10 o'clock this morning (I was up at 6:40)...he got up, ate, checked his email......................................................................................and now he's on the couch, sleeping and snoring.

I think I may go climb in my COMFORTABLE bed and take a nap.
Oh MAN do I hear you. Snoring like that and then sleeping forever while you get no sleep truly can bring about thoughts of divorce, lol. They can be the best husband ever but in the middle of the night when you can't sleep and they've been asleep for hours and are snoring/grinding teeth/snoring more the only thoughts are "I'm gonna divorce this motherf*cker so I can get some farking sleep." lol hug

Autumn, I need your advice. I have to decide by tomorrow. Whee

Why can't I make decisions on my own? Anyone else consult friends to see what they'd do in situations? Sometimes, I can't even decide if I want to go to the store without having someone tell me that it is or isn't a good idea. laugh out loud
No I don't think you should go to the store, you should stay home, become a recluse, gain 500 pounds, send me all your money and shoes and buy a goat. I have spoken. Taa Daa.

Yeah, I totally want someone who posts an ad for a job on CL as my life coach. Autumn will do just fine tyvm. Besides, she works for free. Or .99 cents per day. We're still discussing the rate.
Don't you farking try to get out of the 99 cents you owe me, ho. Mad

Sooooooo Friday, my sister and I decide to have a cookout at my house this coming Saturday for Mother's Day..which is rather important to me. It just is. Tonight, I get home from my friend's house and I have an email where she emailed me, my mom and my aunt about taking a trip to Gatlinburg this weekend. Now, everyone knows I LOVE Gatlinburg (still trying to get my husband to move there) but we just can't go this weekend, and I was really looking forward to that cookout. She said her husband wants to go. He is about to be deployed and wants to take a vacation with his family. Never mind they JUST got back from a week in Florida. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) My mother also loves Gatlinburg and rarely turns down a chance to go. I text her to ask if she is going, she asks if I am, etc. I told her I wasn't. We talked for a while and now she's decided not to go and not to come here. She said either way, it wouldn't be fair. So, thanks, sister, for ruining my mother's day too. I told mom I wouldn't be mad if she went, that she should do what she wants, but truthfully, it would hurt my feelings. I'm not telling her that, though. So, basically, either way, Mother's Day is pretty much ruined for me. Frown
I'm so sorry, Jenni hug It's bad enough your sister took her and her family away from you this mother's day but then it ended up taking your mom away from you too. That sucks hug

here's the library:
(its been in a few movies as an alien thingy)

that's the silent tree in front of it. a metal tree that doesn't do anything. its part of a trio of trees.. there's a talking tree and singing tree. walking around campus when its really dark and you hear those trees singing or talking its freaky Stick Out Tongue

I have lots of sandals, running shoes and flip flops, too. Not the cheapo flip flops, either. My flip flops are awesome.

Of course I ask for advice. I'm lucky though, I have a program to follow that tells me not only is it okay to ask people for input - it's more or less required! AA is big on sponsorship (basically a life coach once you get past the detox stage and the 5th step, really) and asking people for help. I typically don't make any "big" decisions until I've talked to at least 3-4 close friends who know me, know my situation & aren't afraid to call me out on my bullshit.

That said - it's easy to "shop around" for answers until I hear the one I want (kind of like how people post threads in here asking for advice and ignore it all until someone tells them they're right)! That's why talking to people who know ME - not just what I tell them - is crucial. If I go to an acquaintance & tell him a crazy idea I've had, chances are I'll be able to talk him into agreeing with me & telling me to go ahead. That doesn't work with my AA sponsor or my close buddies. They just laugh out loud at me & say "yeah, that's a great idea dude, call me from detox!" LMAO

Here's a good example:

Quote from me (in an email to my buddy Adam) :
Dude, I totally think I could pull this off: http://www.themonkeytail.com/2011...tails.html

I could have told you not to do that.

And as a side not the poor soul who did that bears a great likeness to one of my exBFs.
