Autumn, funny you mention cool colored handcuffs. My husband and SILs have all told me how their mom had to tether my BIL to the kitchen table b/c he was so naughty and that was the only way she knew where he was, otherwise he was JJ x a million. J's family are all less than a year apart so she had J, BIL, SIL & SIL at this time in under 4 years
And OMG how did she handle that? Some days I'll just have Christian because Elizabeth is at my parents or at a friends how...and I want to pull my hair out. I can't imagine having that many close together. Holy cow. I don't blame her for the restraints...especially if he was a spider monkey x a million.

Just came back from the dr. He said that:
A) the fracture is pretty well splinted on it's on in there, and as long as he doesn't do any kind of contact sports, jumping around too much, etc..he can not only not have a cast, but he can take his sling off some. He wants him to move his elbow and start moving his shoulder. He said to let the pain guide him. If it hurts, stop.
B) the spot on his arm is most likely benign, they almost always are. He said he would be looking at it over the next 6-8 weeks while we keep tabs on the fracture, then he would have it xrayed every 6 months to make sure it's not changing in shape or size. He said he might even send the films to some friends at Vanderbilt to be sure and get their thoughts, but he really didn't feel like it was any cause for concern.

Interestingly, I am glad she finally flipped out for someone else to witness.
Having heard just brief parts of what you've been going through AND knowing the other side of the equation all too well, it's just a terrible position to be in for all parties concerned and for the one that HAS to take responsibility it can feel like such an internal battle of emotions and logic.
I encourage everyone to have their desires explicitly spelled out for this reason and to entrust one responsible family member/friend with the authority to intervene when necessary, despite any protests I may have to the contrary.
I hope you've found/will find a lot of peace in what you've done, AM!!!

Had some tooth pain in a wisdom tooth. Went to the dentist to have it pulled. He had trouble pulling it. Ends up there was an abscess in the gum attached to the roots on the tooth. Every time he tried to pull it, it would pull on the abscess, causing me pain.
I ended up getting 5 shots in the gums and roof of my mouth.
In pain tonight. Took a hydrocodeine and going to bed soon.
