I'll be 40 in Sept! (Jen-nay, I'M too old for this shit!!!) and we weren't planning (but also not preventing) either of our boys. Apparently my fertility increases as I get closer to pre-menopause. Oh and RJ, chances for twins increase as you get older. My aunt had her 5th & 6th child right around 40. My grandma was a twin, my aunt had twins and my cousin had twins...needless to say I was scared shitless for my 1st ultrasounds with JJ and Noah. One heartbeat = sigh of relief from me!

Autumn, funny you mention cool colored handcuffs. My husband and SILs have all told me how their mom had to tether my BIL to the kitchen table b/c he was so naughty and that was the only way she knew where he was, otherwise he was JJ x a million. J's family are all less than a year apart so she had J, BIL, SIL & SIL at this time in under 4 years Bigeye There are 7 kids in his family...how she had more after the 2nd one is beyond me. They lived in Mexico at this time and neighbors and friend would give her shit but she said you walk a mile in my shoes, until then STFU! Roll She is a very loving and patient mother, BIL was just way too much for anyone to handle!
My grandma is a twin too High Five Nita and Nola. They call themselves the Sin Twisters laugh out loud

And OMG how did she handle that? Some days I'll just have Christian because Elizabeth is at my parents or at a friends how...and I want to pull my hair out. I can't imagine having that many close together. Holy cow. I don't blame her for the restraints...especially if he was a spider monkey x a million. laugh out loud

I read somewhere that once you had given birth to twins your chances of having another set of twins goes up to 1 in 8 pregnancies.
Twins run in my family.

Copied from the other thread:

Just came back from the dr. He said that:

A) the fracture is pretty well splinted on it's on in there, and as long as he doesn't do any kind of contact sports, jumping around too much, etc..he can not only not have a cast, but he can take his sling off some. He wants him to move his elbow and start moving his shoulder. He said to let the pain guide him. If it hurts, stop.

B) the spot on his arm is most likely benign, they almost always are. He said he would be looking at it over the next 6-8 weeks while we keep tabs on the fracture, then he would have it xrayed every 6 months to make sure it's not changing in shape or size. He said he might even send the films to some friends at Vanderbilt to be sure and get their thoughts, but he really didn't feel like it was any cause for concern.

Thank you everyone hug

Just me? Neat-o.

Interestingly, I am glad she finally flipped out for someone else to witness.

It's for the best. Really, I'm quite alright with it. laugh out loud The staff and doctors were thinking it was a family dispute - clearly it's not. She ripped out her IV, threw the telephone at a nurse and kicked, hit, and punched at doctors and nurses. She also claims that a nurse killed her husband. Scratchchin She's a nurse... hmm... KIDDING - I talked to him today. He's fine. Relieved, too.
Iagree, with the bolded parts especially.

Having heard just brief parts of what you've been going through AND knowing the other side of the equation all too well, it's just a terrible position to be in for all parties concerned and for the one that HAS to take responsibility it can feel like such an internal battle of emotions and logic.

I encourage everyone to have their desires explicitly spelled out for this reason and to entrust one responsible family member/friend with the authority to intervene when necessary, despite any protests I may have to the contrary.

I hope you've found/will find a lot of peace in what you've done, AM!!!

It's hot here...in the 90s hot and our house is old and doesn't have central air and the window units aren't in for the season yet. It is a diaper day for my boys. All Noah has done is sleep and I can't blame him, but between midnight and 5 am isn't going to be fun 'round these parts.
Holy crap Thrifeh!!! I always thought you were hot, but Jeebus!!!

Is there some fund we can all contribute to that will buy you some air conditioning?!? That sounds unbearable!!!

Quote from TigerStar :
Rough day.

Had some tooth pain in a wisdom tooth. Went to the dentist to have it pulled. He had trouble pulling it. Ends up there was an abscess in the gum attached to the roots on the tooth. Every time he tried to pull it, it would pull on the abscess, causing me pain.

I ended up getting 5 shots in the gums and roof of my mouth.

In pain tonight. Took a hydrocodeine and going to bed soon.
Faint

Feel better, TS!!!

Comfort I can commit you to a psych ward if it'll help. Coverlaugh I'm pretty good at it.

And it produce babies...that keep you up all night. Noah is adorable and a sweet little baby but is exhausting when he wakes up every 1.5-2 hours to have a nightcap. He's full and content now, but wide awake. Little night owl.

So, yeah, I'll pass on the endorphins. Mmmkthxbye.

How did you even find want for babeh production in that heat? Or do you limit such activity to winter only?

Wow... just had the greatest chat with the social worker at the looney bin. I got to tell the WHOLE story, including stuff from back when I was a kid. Felt good to spit it all out. I feel like a weight has been lifted.

So all this time all you needed was to see a therapist.

Anyone surprised?
