Ank, pm your addy and I will throw a HUGEMONGOUS envie in the mail. I'm sorry. I am entirely too lazy to pick through what you want vs. what you don't. Big Grin

Bunnies, will be thinking of you this Mother's Day, mine has been gone for 2½ years now. Need to stick the cards in the mail for my Grandma, SIL and BFF! Maybe I should be wonderful and order something for MIL. If I do, I will call the florist in her town, and get a potted something or other.

Oh, and will someone please remind DH and my boys about Sunday? I would like something shiny, and not from the anywhere in my town. Our town is so small, you can't buy shoes anywhere, unless Walgreen's has flip flops. There is one boutique in town, but would you buy clothes from the "Pampered Pelican'?

I heard that!

I have never used any of the order flowers online places. I know there have been some ProFlowers deals in the past. I was thinking about sending something to my mom for Mother's Day -- if it's not already to late. Who should I or shouldn't I use. Or should I just go with a local place -- in this case, it would be HyVee.

ETA: hmmm, was just thinking maybe I'll send her a bottle of wine and a few stems of whatever they have in the buckets cheap. I wonder if I can order wine and have it delivered....
[

II prefer poted plants I can replant also , hows about a boxed herb kit, T had them on clearance awhile back, comes with three hebs, pots and soil or peat moss whatever . I love mine and will replant outside after Mother's day due to frost.

I missed all the Pro- Flowers excitement. But when I order I order, from a local flower shop near receipeant (sp) ? I have gotten burned to many times with FTD, not what I ordered crappy flowers etc...

This will be my first year without my mom. She passed last June.

GT..I think it's very nice that you want to give your mom flowers. It doesn't matter if they are delivered, from the serve yourself bucket or picked from your neighbors yard. Your message to your mom will be understood by her and that's all that matters.Oh and both (innocent or delusional)
My favorite present from my young daugter was words she cut out from mags and posted on a pretty colored lid of a gift box..."you are awesome", "sept" my birthmonth , great. best mom , etc.... I had it framed, and it's at least twenty years old Best present evah
Ny own personal cheerleading board !!!

Bunnies..you are right on in that thought !

Morning, everyone! I have been to Wags and CVS this morning. Did great at Wags, but bombed at CVS. None of the ECBs I was expecting printed. Gonna have to go to the thread and figure it out.

Cold, rainy day here. Not motivated to do much of anything but sit here and sip my coffee and surf!!

Cold and rainy here also, been having trouble at my cvs, have to scavange for the deals ,
no signage. What a pain. I think because they have cut staff to the bone. Our local cvs is always mobbed, small parking lot , usually have to wait for parking. This used to be one of my easiest stores to shop. Now I have to walk around with the circular in my hand.

Teehee I feel your pain, though. Since my birthday and mother's day always fall between the first paycheck of the month and the second, it is rare indeed that there is money to celebrate. Unless, that is, I give hubby money from my yard sale funds. laugh out loud Which I have been known to do!!! He's great at choosing gifts (if he has the money) but he's not so great about putting aside money/planning ahead/etc. or thinking outside the box for things that don't cost money or are cheap.

And speaking of our money issues - he has determined he is going to pass his test before my son graduates kindergarten. He feels far more confident about his knowledge and preparedness for the test content, and is certain he will pass it on the next try, provided he gets a decent amount of study in. Supposed to schedule it for next Friday. I just want to get past it, and on with our lives. The raise won't hurt, either. Teehee

No potted plants for my mom. She hates plants and doesn't want anything she has to take care of.

Morning everyone.. or maybe it is afternoon now Embarrassment

All this fancy lady coffee talk inspired me to make a second cup today.. I usually limit myself to one fancy cup a day, but sipping cup number 2 right now.. heart the german chocolate cake flavor.

I don't see any shopping in my future anytime soon.. I feel like I am so busy these days and am sinking further and further behind.. Gonna try to clean a little today and pay some bills..

been looking at SD for quite awhile this morning.. Needing to find a deal on some things.. anyone wanna help laugh out loud

Seriously, I am also looking for a deal on a mothers day gift.. Searched amazon for almost an hour earlier looking for something for MIL. She is in Arkansas with DH grandma and I need something with free or cheap shipping.. I may just try to find a flower deal or something for her..

Also, need a deal on a rental van for a few days.. Looks like we may try to drive to Arkansas for a visit and my van has been acting up and DH is afraid to take it that far..

Haven't been to the grocery store in forever.. we are slowing working on the food stockpile, which is a good thing I think..

I am not a TCC regular but I am a friend of tn_native.

I finally got a hold of tn_native on the phone this morning and chatted with her for a while. Power was out last Wednesday and finally came back on early this morning. She already made her pot of coffee! Hopefully, she will have her hot shower and her computer time, soon!
She wanted me to tell everybody that she is doing well and that she appreciates all the concerns and prayers. She is safe and feels grateful to have her family and so many good friends who care about her.
Thankyou so much for updatingworship, Truly appreciate the favor..

I don't usually do anything for Mother's Day other than call, I just thought I might be nice this year. If we happen to be back there visiting over Mother's Day then I pick up some "serve yourself" flowers. I don't usually pay those ridiculous floral prices either.
I don't usually give her any gift, whenever I go to her place, I would buy some items that I think would interest her, she will distribute it to family or her friends..
This time I ASKED HER, if she likes anything (that way me thinks she will atleast use, moreover she is here with us).. she says " DONT SCOLD KIDS, DONT GIVE TIME OUT, AND please respect their feeling Frown . This is the one that she is requesting from me Faint I am sure she is not going to get her gift Frown, anywaysEmbarrassment

GT put in her avi "innocent or delusional". She did this in response to my avi saying I was innocent.

So I commented that I was both, then I adjusted my avi to reflect this. Then I adjusted my halo and hopped away to frolick in the garden.
