Happy Birthday MOT2!

I am totally lost. Can someone share with me what I should be buying this week? TIA!

Oh, and Trevor is being sent home Wednesday!!! He will still go in every day for tests, etc, but will be sleeping in his own bed every night! Thank you everyone for the prayers and thoughts sent his way, I know they felt each and every one of them!

They are pretty sure it is peanuts Frown Her skin test was way positive we just need to strictly eliminate it for the next two weeks and make sure that's the only thing; I kind of had an inkling that was maybe it but I think I was kinda sorta in denial....although, I am happy it is not egg. As I am going through labels here there are way more with egg than with peanuts or even trace of peanuts or manufactured in/on, etc. Doc. wants her to avoid them all. It was a nice blissful 7-8 mos. of her NOT having an allergy Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) She was just declared un-allergic to blueberries in Sept.! Aye. Had to tell her she's not getting PB&J anymore; that was the worst part. She loves PB&J. We will survive.

Is your DD around animals, especially dogs? My little guy did not screen as allergic to dogs but he still breaks out in hives if he comes in contact with a dog.
Yeah I asked her about dogs/cats/seasonal stuff like pollens, etc. (whether they could make a person break out in hives or not. She said sometimes but that she thought it looked like food per the food journals I'd been keeping. We've had a cat since she was born and a dog since shortly after she was born.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Blue Bunny's "I Do I Do Wedding Cake" by that Duff guy that has the cake show on TV drool The only Blue Bunny I have on hand right now is Homemade Turtle Sundae or something like that and I know it has trace peanuts so I'm hoping they aren't all like that OMG But laugh out loud I suppose if they ARE then that just means I have to share with one less person Roll

OK so bunnies and luvs2save you gals are both gardening this year as well...anybody else? Me too, I planted seeds about a week-and-a-half ago and went out to check this morning and most have sprouted. This is only my second year so I am still trying and testing things. I planted carrots, broccoli, head lettuce, peas....oh and SUNFLOWERS!! laugh out loud Just for fun. I don't know if half that stuff is gonna end up growing well or not but I figured I'd try. I said the same thing last year and had quite the bountiful harvest so we'll see. I am not planning on tomatoes this year, I just have way too much frozen still from last year! I do want to put a couple pepper plants in when the weather warms. I have been throwing peppers and onions in the crockpot with roasts and love how they come out with the good flavor of the peppers!

Ugh, know the feeling! Frown hug Though this dentist I have now is totally changing that for me. My most recent fillings are finally starting to feel a bit better. Hope it is nothing too serious!
I hate dental issues Frown

Thankfully my tooth has been okay so far today.. but I am babying it.. was scared to even try coffee this morning cause that is when it started hurting last night.. Been chewing on the other side all day and popping a few ibuprofen.. Gonna call a dentist tomorrow I guess...Sadwalk

We're having homemade cheesesteaks, sweet potato fries, and salad from the garden (lettuce is already in, it seeded in the fall). Cheesesteaks are made from leftover london broil. DH makes it with peppers and mushrooms and it is soooo good. I think I like it better than the initial steak dinner. laugh out loud
Oooooo that sounds good. I have a Target London broil in the fridge that I have to use too... if it's still good. I put it in there and, um, forgot it was there.

I'm even more 'glad-er' that you didn't throw the rocks at me!!
I couldn't throw one of those suckers at you if I wanted to. They are far too big. I would just have to drop it on ya! And I wouldn't do that to my little Bunnies! I was watching a cute little bunny in my front yard the other day. Every spring we have a litter born under our front stoop.

You sure can. Especially since I'll have DD with me and I could use some one to chase her around.

$hit like this drives me farking insane. Especially since I've missed functions before to stay home with a sick kid.

I'm sorry! We have peanut allergies here too and it is in everything. Frown The good news is manu. companies are finally getting better about making the labels easier to find peanuts and tree nuts. I keep hoping my son outgrows the peanut/tree nut allergies.

Your garden is sounding great! We love peppers here too, I have green, red, orange, yellow, and purple. We had carrots last year, but they were totally deformed looking. Kids wouldn't eat them because they looked funny. I'm going to try my hand at canning this year, I've never tried it before but I'm growing tons of tomatoes and pickling cucumbers so I have to try at least. Big Grin

hug I'm sorry, that sucks. My sister will bring her kids sick to holidays. Her oldest had the STOMACH FLU at Christmas and she brought her! Almost the entire family got it after that. Drives me crazy!

I'm sure it's fine! Wink Dinner was so yummy, I'm thinking about raiding the leftovers for another sandwich. bounce I worked off the calories in the garden tonight. We surround our veggie plants with flowers and herbs to ward off the buggies, so we finished those tonight.

Thismom...can you have the doc test for sunflower or almond allergy? Apparently there are these types of nut butters you can substitute for peanut on PB&Js.

Lisa: that's great news! woot

Anyone with kiddos that are afraid of their closet (or what may be in the closet)? Seems like a very typical fear but I've tried everything from emptying the closet, opening/closing/tying shut etc. and nothing is assuring DS that he's going to survive the night This has been going on for about 5 weeks now. Annoyed Tips? Please

Had a nice day at the park. Hot as middle-of-summer weather. Man, I am going to have to get over my fear of bees though. It is taking all my restraint to keep from diving on top of my kids when there is a bee around. It's embarrassing.

....
and cashew nut butter also.... if any of those pass muster, and you have a mixer with a grinding attachment at home, you can make your own butters.

MOT2, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE! Cheers

My knee, shoulder and arm hurt like a Ranting today! All because in my sleep, I unthinkingly turned to sleep on my preferred right side (haven't been able to do that since the accident). I am not happy. A week away from 5 months since the accident - I should not be hurting so much still! JUST.NOT.PLEASED!

And the Celtics lost a nailbiting playoff game to damn Lebron. bah. Frown

But then sis got me a Tiramisu from WF (I am crazeeeee heart about their Tiramisu and could eat the whole big cake in one sitting OMG ) as a surprise present. yummy So sweet. heart Had to smile. Big Grin

Heads up to staplers: save your cartridges for next week for MM ink. k?

And, to those of you who like the Pirates of the Carribbean movie series, the new one comes out later this month. But before that, on the Sunday, the ABCFamily channel is playing the first one, and then on the 21st the USA network is playing the 2nd and 3rd ones back to back, in case you want to brush up. I set them all to tape. woot

wave

I think I need a drink to help with this pain, says the imaginary Irishman in me.

No one has any definitive answers. Orthopedic Surgeon said he thinks I may have a torn rotator cuff. He wanted me to get intensive PT for the shoulder and the knee but that is stuck because of the HMO needing approval from yet another doc. ER had indicated extensive chest wall trauma, but now doctors are unable to see that part of the report. All they can see is the neck part of the report. Where is the rest? They're not sure. So the trauma followup for chest injuries is stuck.

Frustrating and depressing.

I'm not usually one to get frustrated, depressed or impatient. But I think it's fair to say I am definitively there on all 3 counts now. I just can't take this constant pain anymore. And I hate feeling so stuck and unable to do things in my life.

I hope I never drive distractedly and bring such misery into someone else's life all because I was being callous, thoughtless and inattentive for a few seconds. Such a waste.

Thank you for asking HD, and for your constant kindness. You're a gem. heart
