TN..I've sent you several PM's. Please check your messages.
I got them, but didn't think they required a reply.

Thanks for caring about me Hug2

Truthfully, throwing away 2 refrigerators and a deep freeze worth of stuff has me Embarrassment and thinking that I shouldn't have had that much stuff in the house. I've been to the grocery (Publix naturally) once since the power came back on, but basically bought produce (and I'm out, so I have to do something this weekend). Publix is supposed to have posted their new competitors by today (each store with their OWN competitor) and I'm Cold about what it means for my local Meridianville store (it's already been 3 different chains and if they left off Target off the competitor list, folks will just drive the 10 miles to the P that DOES take TQs as competitor) and it is already the lowest volume store in the area.

I know those without a Publix get tired of reading my crap, so I'm trying NOT to post P stuff here.

On the brighter side, I did find out that my homeowners insurance is allowing up to $500 for each refrigerator and each freestanding freezer with no deductible, but you need an itemized list of what was in it... the curbside shop site for P made this easy.

woot that we are finally get an Aldi's (no more driving 30+ miles to Decatur)

I asked if you needed anything or could use some coupons to help you get started again. When you didn't respond, I thought maybe your PM was full or may be you didn't check your PM's...

Just wanted to let you know your TCC peeps are here to lend a hand worship

From what I read in the newspaper and saw on the news here, I was under the impression that TQs were no longer going to be accepted at ANY Publix store.

Cold and raining today. We got up early to go to a yard sale DH wanted to go to. Then we went to a nearby little town that was having city wides. We were going to go north to an area and mushroom hunt but it went from occasionally sprinkling to out and out raining so we came home.

Our air compressor was recalled a while back so I took it back, they sent it off, we were without it a month, I picked it up. Mind you, it's a little over an hour trip each way, so 2 trips = 4+ (closer to 5) hours of driving. DH needed to use it today and it isn't working. It was working just fine when we took it in. He was going to check something and he hasn't come back in so maybe he fixed it.

Don't know what I am going to do now. Nothing outside obviously. I think I might be out of library books which is very unusual. I read a lot -- 3 to 6 books a week (and that's down from what I used to read) -- so I usually have several books on hand I hope there's another in my cabinet.

I guess I can go out to the garage and stare ad DH while he tears a boat motor apart. Or puts it back together, I don't what stage he is at with it. I mostly smile and nod when he explains it to me. If I wanted to understand how a boat motor carburetor works, I would either look it up myself or ask. But thanks for sharing.

Since we don't seem to be able to locate or even hunt any mushrooms in the timber I bought some sliced baby bellas to cook. It's not the same but they are good.

Never had this. What do you eat with it or do you use as a dip?

It's pretty.

Do your Hy-Vee's carry Coffee Rich [richwhip.com]??

It is supposed to be 100% milk free. The store locator on their website says it is not carried anywhere around here but I KNOW I saw it in the frozen section at Hy-Vee the other day because I was purchasing something else and did a Huh what is that and looked to see what it was. So store indicator might not be 100% accurate. But if it is truly 100% milk-free I would think that and some of the Torani syrups or just that and sugar would make it better maybe. I cannot do coffee and milk Yuk I have become quite the coffee snob though....I am spoiled by my sugar-free Torani and cream thanks to TCC Stick Out Tongue

ROFL @ it's pretty!

We do 2 things with it.

1. Use in on taco's (yes taco's were requested again, but I couldn't take a regular taco yet again, so since we are graced with being able to have fresh veggies...)

2. Use it as a dip with Tostito's scoops. Yum.

2 Mango's diced
3 jalapeno's (depending on how hot you like it, we choose to burn our mouth's off over here)
1 red onion diced
4 tsp of cilantro
2 tsp lime juice
salt and pepper.

I always let mine sit overnight.

M2C: I don't know where my manners went but I have been meaning to thank you for the surprise envelope! I got it Thursday and I have never seen any of those tearpads before! I especially like that $3 Planters Wink Where did you find that little gem?

speaking of tearpads: i have some $0.75/1 v8 fusion and $1 extra if anyone wants/needs. Also a few $1/2 monster. I think the small v8s are around $1.25.

I found it at Food Lion. Where did the .75 V8 come from? DH loves that stuff.
