Last week I went to Hy-Vee for the 1-day sale, *thought* I clipped $3 Purex q's, and got to the register only to find out that I'd clipped the $1 q's that were in the insert next to the $3 ones Doh Thought about calling dh to have him bring them to me but didn't think he'd be able to figure out where they were, etc. Then that thought was quickly squelched by the fact that I'd also forgotten to bring my phone with me Roll It was a forgetful day.

I am feeling so bad for my SIL today Frown Her and her dh have been married probably almost 10 yrs. and have struggled with infertility and have not been able to have kids thus far. They have 3 cats who are like children to them and found out last week that the youngest was sick with feline leukemia. They have tried to get him better but it looks like he is not going to make it and I think they are going to have to put him to sleep today Frown I just feel so bad for her; she has had a really tough go of things for years now....yes, pets pass on, but all three of these cats are fairly young so I know she wasn't expecting it at all and it just stinks! Please say an extra prayer for her tonight if you have one to spare. I just wish there was more I could do for her.

Tootsie, the Corona flip flop is a bottle opener with a magnet on the back. I have them on my garage fridge for now, do you want one? The limes were key chains, but they were cheap junk and DH took them to work and passed them out.

Pretty uneventful shopping trip. Got 8 ibuprofen, 2 peroxide just to have on hand, 8 gum, and 1 Mossimo shirt for $0.74. Picked up a few groceries and a few things to take on our trip. I had gotten a pair of walking shorts earlier, but of course, the new top doesn't match them. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I noticed a few half price bakery items and picked up a couple, then I saw the lady bring out a few more and she said she wasn't done yet. I asked about a thing of cheese bread that had the same date as the others she had marked. She said not yet, later at night for that, then told us to just wait right there and she would mark one down now for us. There was also some 1/2 price deli whole roasted chicken for $2.50. Guess what they are having for supper? Big Grin Ya know, that was stupid. I should have bought a couple more for that price and frozen them.

Tires are rotated and the oil is changed. DH usually changes the oil, but this time WM did it. I must have hit WM just right this morning. It wasn't too crazy in there and I didn't leaving feeling like I wanted to beat the hell out of somebody. Oh! I did have one embarrassing moment though. I had 8 Nivea coupons left and was thrilled to see that they had 6 of the Orange scent.... right up to the point where the register beeped and said, "COUPON EXPIRED". That'll teach me to let myself get behind cutting, filing, and purging expireds. I really need to that done this week too. I did get a new fish basket and 6 bottles of Similac Puker Formula.
