Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a good day. Smilie Had this [campbellkitchen.com] for dinner. It's one of our favorites and sooo good!

I love Bang Bang Shrimp. drool

For you and tootsie- I have the recipe for Bang Bang shrimp if you want it. We have friends who are friends with one of the managers in the local restaurant. It's a good amount of work, but OMG delicious!!! We make triple batches and lick the plate.

LMAO Woot
I'd love to see that recipe. Not sure I'd make it since DH eats no seafood at all, might be a waste just for me and DS if he's around.

Your sandwich recipe looks great too. I make some au jus beef sandwiches that are almost the same, but this will be a nice little twist to make them a bit different. And I just love banana peppers.

I'm so sorry Frown That does stink for her. Our pets came become like family.
I'll send you one, send me your addy. It probably won't go out until the weekend, and I'll try and clean out my coupons and send some to you. Not that I have tons or anything great, but you never know, might be a nice little surprise in there!

I want the recipe for bang bang shrimp too! Happy hour is Wednesdays from 4-6, half price drinks and $5 bang bang shrimp!
I love their happy hours, and Wednesday is a great deal for bang bang! I also like they do happy hour from 9pm - close. A local hotel gives out free coupons for bang bang shrimp and I have several of those left so it's free for me anytime for now. The Peach Long Island Iced Tea is awesome too, in case you don't like the martinis.

the other conversations -
a) calls to state police, and police headquarters and 911 request followups were endless loops of buck passing and voicemails;
b) conversations with insurance for getting reimbursed on hundreds of dollars in medical bills for copayments, coinsurance, deductibles etc was more of the buck-passing/voicemails;
c) conversations with insurance on getting the car settlement money (his insurance still wants witnesses because they claim that their driver said he had green and the fact that a sworn law enforcement officer of the state held him solely responsible for the accident and completely at fault is not enough for me to get 100%. ridiculous) also went into more buck-passing.
d) conversations about injury settlement also in limbo cos they want more medical info but all these months I couldn't give em that until i could get therapy and have more tests/conversations with doctors, but HMO wouldn't let me get treatment/tests without a new PCP and I couldn't find a PCP that would take new patients anywhere in a reachable radius. sigh. so it remains in limbo now with the hope that this latest doc appt will set of the chain of therapy and tests.

I got a job that way once. I saw a sign posted on campus for someone to run a summer recreation program. I didn't have a pen to write down the info, so I took down the sign.

I was the ONLY one who applied. I asked them "Where did you advertise?"

They said "We put a sign up at the local college..." Bigeye

How was I to know they only posted one sign.... LMAO

(I didn't eat the sign though... )

I was serious about "Simplify" this year and have maintained it well. I've been to the Goodwill *several* times for donating. Considering we are still thinking about buying that lot near the water and building there, I cannot imagine moving all this junk Faint

Have a good day all! The rest of my month is twitch worthy complete with jury duty, my grandmother's surgery, dentist appts, orthodontist appts, school meetings, bff is moving, my son's birthday, my husband working a 12 day stretch, year-end of school shenanigans, getting a backsplash designed then installed in the kitchen, and finally a vacation to the mountains after all of that Faint

Shocking

Faint that's quite the schedule missy! but if anyone can do it, you can. aided by lots of Cheers of course! Big Grin

we've been on a simplify stretch ourselves since last august. end of last summer i gave up uber shopping at T, Wags and CVS. and anything I got from the grocery on big cat deals of things we wouldn't normally eat, went straight from car to food pantry. didn't even make it home.

it has been good.

there's still quite a good collection of dry foods and lots of toiletries. i'm very grateful for that right now being hurt and unable to shop. but i came to the conclusion that the only way i can stockpile and shop is a) if i take a long break after a few months of piling, so we can use up the piles and b) if i am disciplined about only bringing home things we use/will use, and not bring home any maybes, or curiosities, or "i don't know what i'll do with these"

once the car insurance/car accident nonsense gets wrapped up, and i feel better my simplify sights are set on every bookshelf, closet and file box in this house. clothes are getting donated, kitchen cabinets cleaned out of infrequently used bakeware etc, papers scanned into pdfs and stored on hard drives with paper copies shredded.

even my lingerie drawer is getting a clean up.

gotta create freedom and space so new things can enter our lives. Big Grin

so you are with me on "simplify?" I have went through the kitchen and gotten rid of BOXES of stuff and could go through it again to get rid of even more. I have cleaned out workout clothes, pajamas, shoes, home decor, toys, kids clothes, etc. I need to do even more but I'll hit that this summer when the kids aren't in school. driving back and forth for pickup/dropoffs breaks into my mojo when I really get into cleaning laugh out loud
the only couponing I've really done since the beginning of the year was basics like Tide, Bounty, Charmin, Bounty Evil and the basic cleaning supplies since my stockpile of Clorox products is still going strong.

yep, hon, i am right there with you!

i began "simplify" last august. and then with the holidays and my accident the active cleaning part got put on pause. but the shopping-lite and only necessary things that need replenishing is where i've been since last august/sept.

i did a whole stock-taking of my stockpile last memorial day weekend and decided I had a lot in terms of toiletries/household goods and needed to peter down. so the next few months after that i concentrated on things that weren't stocked whenever a good deal on that came around - like 7th gen handwash. and then I stopped.

bought toilet paper, sonicare things like that from time to time cos that's stuff that's constantly being used.

but for example: i never did the glade deal around the holidays.
i didn't do walgreens deals all fall, and haven't done them of course this year cos of injuries.

cleaning, like you i did a big kitchen cleanup late last year. that's what allowed me to replace things more in keeping with what we use now and to also make more breathing space in cabinets.

i need to do one more round of kitchen cabinet cleanup to get rid of some nonstick baking pans that are tucked in a corner of a cabinet and also go through a cabinet that has spices, coffee etc. and then there's the alcohol cabinet. that needs flushing out too. EEK! there are some ooooold opened bottles of rum and gin and such there. time to toss em out. probably spoiled by now. then the kitchen will be done.

it's about a 2-3 hour job. and then we'll be fully simplified in the kitchen.

i did the pajama drawer and the workout clothes drawer also late last fall. but it needs more culling. as does the lingerie drawer. gotta get rid of the worn old discolored overstretched tees and such. they're super comfortable right now with the injuries, but after that, i'm going to toss em. it's time.

and my closet, oh my closet. i really need to do some renewal there and get it to the point where it only has the best and the brightest and the most amazing and beloved stuff. all the so-so stuff and not really me anymore kind of stuff needs to go.

did the home decor culling last fall. lots of pictures came out of frames and the number of frames around is greatly reduced. need to do some more in terms of putting away old pics etc. i don't have fussy decor, but this place could definitely use sharpening up. i want every corner and cabinet and item of clothing to feel the way i want to feel on my best day. clean, crisp, polished, authentic, radiating brightness and warmth and most all of SIMPLE.
