I wanted to stop but dh wants to keep going. This trip is costing enough without a hotel night I suppose. Plus we are trying to get there as soon as possible cause it has started snowing in Laramie.

Dh got.the call tonight that his grandma kidneys have shut down and they don't expect her to make it another 24 hrs.. glad we made it out to see her 2 weeks ago.
My husband is the same way. If you drove straight through you should have made it by now. I hope the last leg of your trip was safe! I always tell J that if he starts getting sleepy to pull over to a rest stop, truck stop or a store parking lot to rest for an hour or 2.

Did you even pack anything for snow? Bigeye I'm sure you weren't expecting that in May.

Ahh 30's I remember those days...

That's because you gals are perverted. Bunnies is not perverted. I would never, never, ever have a perverted thought. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Happy almost 4th anniversary to your birthday!!
Cake for Mavis!! I am on it!

My body doesn't like rain either. I went out shopping last night in my new sneakers. They have part of the sole missing, they are suppose to be sneakers that help you get fit. While I highly doubt I am going to look like a skinny bean anytime soon, I must say they were wicked comfortable. I did good shopping last night. I was happy.

Good Morning Chat Creatures. I got up a few minutes early this morning and I dusted woot Laundry is going, I know what's for dinner, shopping is done, and the best part of all...I am having salad for lunch! I love salad. We can't afford salad to often, so I am excited!!!

Greenie..Hugs!!!
i'm having salad for lunch also! we'll be lunch buddies! Big Grin Whatcha putting in your salad?

Oatmeal for breakfast. Mmmmmm, the warm, creamy oatmeal feels so good. I am determined to lose all this post-accident weight, plus the pre-ax stuff I wanted to lose. Determined. Better Eating. Portion Control. More Water. That's all I can do right now. Will get on exercising as soon as I'm able.

You'll afford plenty of salad and all else your heart and tummy desire pretty soon. just see it and believe it, darling! hug i see it for you! Did you order the Seeds of Change seeds?

sneakers - are these the skechers shape ups? or some other brand modeled after the MBT ones?
every company got on that bandwagon after MBTs became succesful and highly recommended. I never got around to buying MBTs - they were so expensive. But with so many companies trying their hand at it now, I no longer know what to go with.

sleepy creatures, good morning. Yawn

it has been pouring here all night, thunderous drumming on metal. result, no sleep. and my knee does not like rain. how do our bodies know the clouds have gathered outside? such a mystery. but i really don't like the "it's damp and therefore i will throw a tantrum" mood that my formerly broken wrist and now my hurt knee get into. especially in a cold, wet part of the country..

Freebies:

Thank you for the freebies. The store is just around the corner from my house, so I am going to try and get over there this weekend. Thank you!

My seedlings are growing, growing, growing, but they need to go outside soon or they are doing to die. I am hoping to get them outside by Monday.

that's a perfectly nice salad and what we eat generally! sometimes if i have any feta or ricotta or mozzarella, i add some of that to the salad just cos i don't drink milk and doc said to include calcium sources. and if i have one those wasa or ryvita or whatever high fiber crackers, or a piece of toast, i break that into bits and put some in for crunch. but if i don't have those things, or don't feel like it, it's greens with tomato, some balsamic and evoo, salt and pepper. Big Grin i grew up eating that and love it.

thanks for sneaker info. will look for em once i'm walking normally again. i'm guessing wearing sneakers with "part of the sole missing" is not a good idea when you hop on one leg (as opposed to hopping on both like a bunny does). laugh out loud

They were actually really, really comfortable. At first I thought I was going to fall, but after a few minutes, I was off and walking and I didn't even walk like a drunk!

yeah that's what all the reviews had said for the MBT's when they first came out that at first you feel all wobbly while your muscles adjust and then you get used to em and they're actually much more comfy, cos they take pressure off your hip and knee and back.

i'm going to have to try em!

by the way, we're having a 1-1 conversation. the thread is all ours. love it! bounce

For the ricotta do you just crumble it on your salad? I never thought to put it on salad, but I have buttloads of it from a deal at our grocery store and need to find ways to use it.

And I'm having salad for lunch today, too!! So far, I have romaine, shredded carrots, and that's about it. I'm heading out to Target in a bit, so maybe if they have some type of veggie marked down, I can throw that in.

Oh, and my tomato plants (all 5 of them!) are doing great, flourishing actually!!! Three of them have 2 flowers, and the other 2 have one flower. Yay for tomatoes soon!! I have never managed to keep plants alive for this long, so I am excited. Big Grin

Yes, yes jump in!!

Are your plants outside yet? Mine are starting to flower, but they are still inside. We have had excessive rain. We don't expect sun again until Sunday, then I need to bring my babies outside so that I can harden them off and hopefully get them planted soon!

Mine are outside. I planted them in 5-gallon paint buckets. We rent, and I hate putting time and money and effort into a yard that's not really ours. So we went with the cheapest container option that was big enough to allow the tomato plants to flourish. We've had them planted for about a week and a half, and they've already grown close to a foot in that time.

Our rain hasn't been excessive, but just enough that I don't have to water them. And our rain has actually mostly been at night, which is very convenient. Big Grin
