good morning meanies!

looks like it's one of those blah mondays. caught up w/ all my threads in less than half an hr. people have nothing to say for once. either that or i lost a whole bunch of subscriptions which wouldn't surprise me.

yesterday i went to return something on the last day of the receipt and for some reason the receipt wouldn't allow it but my credit card did. Confused

i found some lightweight down comforters 75% off in twin and full/queen and a table pad 54 x 120. will post dpci's in deals a little later.

i only subscribed to the walmart thread b/c i was hoping w/ the new coupon policy there would be some great deals at walmart. but it's looking like the deals are really at other stores and people are doing the price match at walmart b/c it's easier to find the items in stock. i shop walmart extremely rarely anyway and most of the stores they are trying to pricematch aren't in my area so to me that thread is pretty deal-less. thinking of unsubscribing.Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

ooh, forgot! melinmo, glad you are ok and didn't get hit by a tornado.

Storming here again this morning. UGGH!....It was very hard to take my DS to school and drop him off after all that happened in Joplin yesterday, esp. with the storms coming thru. He, of course, was fine with going and since we have always lived in this area, we are used to these types of storms. But when this kind of tradgedy happens, it makes you take notice.

DD graduated from HS this weekend but she will be going back to school today. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is spearheading a Disaster Relief Donation dropoff. Hopefully, our community will be able to help the people in need. Sometimes I feel silly having so much bodywash, deo., oral care and other stuff stuffed in totes. But today I am grateful that I am able to have all this to donate! We sent a lot of stuff to AL. and now to Joplin.
Just hard to believe we were there shopping in a couple of those stores just hr or so before and now they are gone. Thank goodness we were exhausted from the weekends graduation activities and decided to come home instead of going to movies or out to eat as we had planned.

blah monday I thought it was. then I realized it's ank and dreeme's birthdays. not so blah anymore! it's a special day! Whee

around here it has been a noisy monday. i don't like noisy mornings. they give me headaches. first it was car alarms going off. then tow trucks. more car alarms. then big rigs with heavy equipment rolling by loudly for construction nearby. then a series of fire trucks and ambulances sirens at full pitch. more car alarms. more sirens. more big rigs. more sirens.
now some homeowner is power sawing and power drilling. and halfway down the block they have a power washer going.

seriously people, can someone stop!!

oh great, another fire engine siren. what's with these fire engine sirens today? there are no fires around here. hope people aren't having accidents.

I wasn't around the wags thread for the C&C hoopla. I just keep hearing people mention "the debacle" over and over again, and I have no idea what they're talking about, save to know that something happened with a clean and clear sale that left stores and customers mad. i'm certain EC must have something to do with it. EC has something to do with everything these days.

SO GLAD you guys are safe and MelinMO is, too. sending big prayers for the community and all those who have lost so much. the pictures are stunning: astounding too see how much damage Nature can do in fleeting minutes.

How long was the tornado? How long do tornadoes usually last? Having never experienced one, I'm clueless.

The Joplin area is all too familiar. It will be years before Lawrence, Limestone and Madison counties (which got little publicity) is back to 'normal', if you can call it that.

I forgot to tell you all my little story on why it is ever so important to keep exp TQs out of your envies. I had planned to use the $1/3 Kellogg's cereal TQ and the $5/1 JF Foam TQ. In my distractions and rush (all my cereal MQ and TQs are in the same envie, all hair care has it's envie) I picked that REALLY old free Kellogg's wyb TQ that was taking of $4.29 last year, it exp sometime in July last year. I also picked the 5/10 exp JF TQ instead of the new one. I had the new ones and the cashier waited for me to find them Embarrassment BUT I got the WORST message ever on the Kellogg's TQ!!!! The red screen of death flashed up and it was so shocking to me that I can't remember exactly what it said but it was along the lines of "This is an invalid and fraudulent coupon pls call corp offices immediately at 1-800-xxxx-xxxx" AND the Catalina machine printed a tiny slip! Faint Also the exp 5/10 JF coupon beeps expired. During my transaction the cashier closed the lane and after she took the little slip and went through the doors that go back behind the customer service area. So she was very nice and all and I told her wow I didn't realize I had grabbed the incorrect coupons and she was nice and took the correct ones but still Faint OMG I totally cleaned out all exp TQs from my envies as soon as I got the cold things put away.

My question, has any of you ever gotten that particular red screen of death or is it something new? I am thinking it is something new. Frown

I saw the $1 TQ A-1 for steak sauce and there was a $1/2 MQ in that online advertisement, price check on the 10 oz A-1. Just need to find the MQ Wink

I need to drop my lappy off to get fixed today so I better read a bit in deals and see if anything is going on this week. I spaced off getting papers yesterday I was so busy Doh Frown

Do any of you have the free app Barcode Scanner on your phone? I have it and it is pretty cool, you can scan a product and it will give you the average retail price the item is selling for, you can also search online to see where it is selling at the best price. I have scanned coupons with it and it puts numbers up, not product or a price. I was wondering if it can scan a coupon do you think it is a good indication it will also scan at the register?
