I dunno if its freaky, but I make Diablitos at home, its a pickle snow cone, half a big best maid pickle, 1-1/2 cups of pickle juice, ice, chamoy sauce,and spicy fruit powder. Its DELISH!

Alright let's settle this. If you put lime or lemon juice in your guac (which you should for taste as well as keeping it from turning brown), and you add sour cream to it, you're going to end up with curdles. Some people might like that texture, but most don't, and it isn't as nice to look at from an appetizing pov. But the bottom line is this: Eat what you like and the way you like it. Personally, I'm into presentation as much as I am into taste so if it isn't meshing on eye appeal, I don't add it.

Ohhhh! Yeah...there aren't really any mexicans in San Antonio. Cool. I am curious though. I will have to keep an eye out. I do like the pickle popsicles from Central Market.

Go down to the Markey, will def find it lol. Its actually really good, forgot about lime juice, put a few tbs in as well. Gotta get the pickle popsicles,they sell them at HEB. Bomb.com lol

HeyLookItsMe is correct about it not curdling, as I've made my dippy thingey ( sour cream and salsa ) hundreds of times and never had it to curdle. I don't use the fake sour cream, either, nor the low fat, just regular. Never, ever, ever curdled. Wonderful to dip deep fried onion rings in, or lots of other stuff.

The tea with cream and lemon juice is somehow different and will curdle if I recall correctly ( don't use lemon in my tea ) but not salsa and sour cream.
