Apparently 1 in 3 Americans want a device that hasn't been announced yet. I don't recall that poll, but I'm willing to perform due diligence and start one in the Lounge.

with the latest versions of Android, the normal "Apple is so much easier to use" is a dated argument: my grandmother figured out her Droid X after a ten-minute session with the Verizon salesman. i've experienced bugs with my Pro (especially at launch), but my buddy had his share of problems when he bought an iPhone4 at launch and my wife has had a few since she got hers a few weeks ago. neither platform is completely bug-free if you actually use it like a smartphone.
I will admit there are some Androids out there that work very well...they just so happen to all go by the name "Droid" also, haha.
I think the App thing is a complete misnomer. Give me a function that you do on your Android and I will tell the exact same or equivalent app we have on WP7. The Marketplace has grown I think 3x faster than iPhones and 2x faster than Android (those figures change constantly though, but in any case it is right where you would expect it to be).
The only difference is that we have Angry Birds and 2 other knock offs while Android has Angry Birds and 10 other knock offs. hahaha
I want to buy an iPod Touch, but a couple articles I read say there may or may not be one released in the fall... So I kinda want to wait and see, and at the same time, I want to go ahead and buy the one that is out right now.
As for phones... I just want one with a good alarm and a good amount of ring tones to choose from to set up for my alarms.
Why carry 2 devices around when you could carry just 1?
I read that the average cost of Smart Phones to carriers was $400 4 years ago and currently sits at $200. By this time next year it should be $100-$150.
I find that awesome to think about because the carriers still charge $200 for a new phone with a 2 year contract because everyone is willing to pay it.

I was getting at the fact that currently, you drop $200 WITH a contract/subsidized...What that meant was, in a year, you will be able to get away with $100 for the almost top phone w/o a contract.

But, the reason they were all using iPhones is because they were still stuck in a contract and couldn't get the WP7 yet, and who can blame them for ditching WM earlier for an iPhone? haha
