Sure you wouldn't. Oh yeah, what kind of problems? I build all of my PC's now, it's cheaper, and I can choose exactly what goes into it. If Apple's computer line was so great, they would have overtaken the market by now. Aren't they still at like 10% of the total market? I have three PC's in my home now that I built, and have had zero issues.

I have owned a Dell, HP, two Gateway and an ASUS PC in the past. Out of all of the name brand PC's I have owned the only issue I had was a power supply died on one of them. And they all are still up and running, I gave them to friends/family members. The oldest one is about nine years old.

It's because they're more expensive. That's why they haven't overtaken the market. Maybe you'll be the next Steve Jobs.

Really can't argue with you here, I'm a windows bigot and build my systems. Taking your argument a bit further, you could say PCs aren't asgood as gaming as consoles so why bother with that platform? HDMI? That's for my home theater, why bother putting something like that BR video on a PHONE!

What carrier will you be using? Elsewhere in the world it makes sense to buy unsubsidized. Rarely does it make sense in the us due to carrier incompatibility and no discount on rate plans to buy it off contract.

Unless you are straight up a prepaid user I suppose.

Without reading everything, b/c adult add is kicking it. I wll say I prefer Windows to apple, and agree apple price tag on lap and desktops is WAY to high. I have built every desktop I have had in the last 10 years, and that consists of 2, know why only 2? B/c i can upgrade them cheaply and easily to fit my needs, second is a media server in living room. I worked in graphic design and I still choose window over mac. But, as far as phones, apple did something right, and I wont knock them for that. As far as status? In the early years yes, b/c it was extremely hard to get the phone, like i said, credit checks,and high price, but now, its just another phone, don't think its as Unicornish as before,especially b/c everyone will carry it.

ok after a couple of good points earlier, you're starting to show a lack of awareness. You should know that Apple tends to bring things to the market first - such as self-parking heads in laptops (why didn't I think of that) and their OS has long been mimicked by MSFT. It's easy to play catchup and copy an existing product, even improve on it, its much more difficult to continue to innovate. Seriously, they make a quality product that just works ... Why not shell out a few more bucks for that?

Actually PC's are better than gaming consoles. A PS3 can't hold a candle to gaming on my PC. Gaming consoles are trying to be PC's, so why bother with a console at all anymore? I know my PC can outperform my PS3 in the graphics, and sound department. If you build yours too, then I am sure yours is capable of taking out the PS3 and 360 as well.

HDMI on a smartphone? It's good for streaming NetflixHulu/Amazon when you're on away from home, sharing photos/home video when at another persons home, etc.. It saves me from bringing a laptop/tablet with me everywhere I go.

It's never slow. Pc's are slow, get viruses, and are buggy.
