Look, I really want to be on your side (sorta). I think it is ridiculous when I see people with their eyes glued to their phones all the time. I just posted in the iPhone 5 thread about how I don't want to blow my money every month on a fancy phone.

But if I had one, I sure as heck would be playing with it while in a waiting room (actually, I think you are usually not even supposed to have phones turned on there, so maybe not), or any other places where I have to sit around and waste time waiting. I don't want to touch anything when I am at a doctor's office, so no I don't want to read through their magazines (most of which do not interest me).

I think I would happily take it out so my boyfriend and I could look at stuff on there while waiting for a table at a restaurant, or if we got somewhere really early before a movie starts. As much as I don't want to spend the money on it, I really think it would be awesome to have one.

I do agree that people need to take a break from them. I saw a young couple holding hands in a restaurant a couple weeks ago, and the guy was actually holding his phone in the same hand that he was using to hold hands with his girlfriend. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) I hate seeing a group of people out at a dinner, and some (or most) of them playing on their phones instead of enjoying eachother's company.

That is the most awesome picture. I haven't seen a better one in at least two days. I would say yesterday, but seeing pictures on my smartphone doesn't count on account of the small screen and all.

My smartphone was $75 (not hundreds). I don't pay for data (also not hundreds).

I have nothing on my phone that would be an invasion of privacy either, unless you count my app that documents my bowel movements, but hell, I'd tell anyone that would listen about my poop, hardly private.
