I price checked the raw frozen tenders and they were over $7 (almost $8)... took me three different scanners to get to one that actually worked, which is fun when you can barely walk.

Thank you HDD. Hug2

TN, sending big hugs your way. Grocery shopping is no fun when you can't walk. Is the surgery this upcoming week? Do you have crutches for now? Do they have a motorized wheelchair cart in store?

I hated using those after my accident, cos a) it was so much slower than walking was before I got hurt and b) everyone stared at me and gave me these pitiful glances. But at the end of the trip where I used it for the first time, I realized just how much easier it was on my body. And how much it taught me about compassion for others.

Maybe try one?

sending you love and strength and hugs. Blowkiss

I have crutches, but I'm not using them until the surgery (28th... moved due to brother's schedule, so he'd have to take less days off hopefully).

I'd rather walk if I can. Frozen was the last thing I try to put in the cart. I was tired from working all day and I'd already walked all the way over to stationary and back. I was grumpy that the two closest price scanners didn't work. Dragged the tenders to the 3rd scanner, saw they rang up $2 more than the others, and drug them back to the freezer and swapped out the whole chicken breasts instead and headed for checkout.

I've ridden in the carts at Publix. I think an ant can walk faster, so I just grit my teeth and bear it.

i hear you sweetie. i hear you with all my heart. hug

won't push you on crutches, but will say this: therapist made me go on crutches the other day. and i was really awkward and slow at first. but then once my mind stopped focusing on HOW TO WALK, and just started walking, i noticed a) how much less painful it was on my other leg and my other hip, and b) how much faster it was for me.

therapist said, practice it at home. and i found that to be a good suggestion. using the crutches at home, with no strangers watching, makes me feel less pathetic/sad/frustrated. and it helps me get better at using them. it might be worth trying to use em atleast at home as practice pre-surgery, so you're more fluid with them and feel less frustrated post-surgery, having to deal with pain, swelling, wound healing and learning to crutch.

atleast it's helping me have an option for days when i am in excruciating pain. my right hip has been compensating for the left knee and now it hurts like a Ranting
just be careful. you don't want to get a sore hip from walking funky. cos it truly blows. i have one now and i can vouch for it.

hug

sending much love and prayers your way for speedy and complete healing.

Good luck on your surgery! I'm not sure what ur issues are but I know I can relate a little with the pain I have in my left knee all the time. I have osteoarthritis and it sucks!(I'm only 31 btw) I've done therapy and it doesn't seem to help at all. I've also done orthvisc injections which helps some but they hurt like a bitch!! Also not walking right because of the pain puts so much more pressure on my other leg and my hips. Again good luck and I hope that you heal quickly Smilie a

I always like seeing you post. Your avatar pic is so cute with cole and kiley!

Well, I ate way too much today, and am feeling it about right now. With all of this stress and out of town travel, I have been indulging more than I should.. Just sitting here feeling incredibly bloated and full, but at the same time craving a big cup of coffee Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Had a nice family gathering with MIL and FIL as well as DH brother and SIL.. The kiddos were able to play and spend time together. It was a party for my youngest DS, my nephew, and MIL birthdays this month. Realized today that we needed a gift so I sent DH to the attic to dig around.. So nice to find those bags of toys from the target toy clearance when you need one. I selected one of the many Thomas sets we got last sale and he was thrilled with it.. Also added some clothes I picked up off the 75% rack last winter and everyone was happy Smilie
Then, I decided to keep my toddler happy, I would put together a little gift bag for her. I hit the dollar section and got a bag full of .25 items and she thought mommy was the best Wink

And of course, a few towels, TP holder, and trashcan.. I am starting a little collection in my closet of items.. I figure DD will be going away to college next year and it is never too early to start collecting.. I almost got a shower curtain today but started thinking that most of the college dorms I have seen don't come with your own private shower do they? I am thinking the ones we have toured have just a small dorm room with 2 twin beds.. I am gonna try to stock up some things when they mark down the college dorm type stuff this year.

nope, unless it's a suite/apartment kind of dorm, it will be a common bathroom with shower stalls.

Wave morning.

I think I use more TQs at Publix than I actually use at Target.

Wags has the 12 ct fine multi-color sharpies for $3.99. I bought a pkg yesterday with a RR. I guess you could try and price match and then use the TQ? I know that doesn't always work, but...

2nd oldest niece needed throws at school, as her 100 yr old dorm was cold in the winter. Love2bee, where is she planning on going to school?

nod

half a fridge shelf full. Big Grin

my store only had the black cherries. but we were happy.
as soon as they arrived home, we couldn't even wait to empty the paper bag. fished out a plastic baggy and started eating right away. laugh out loud
they're yummy! sweet and crisp.

lots of cherry cooking planned for this week.

boo on no rainiers. did you end up getting any of the black ones?
