Not an old-timer myself but was trying to post regularly in here 6-mo to a year ago then all -bleep- hit the fan at home and work and I moved back to the occasional lurker status. Never feeling up to date enough to jump back in.

BUT... I have a question I was hoping one of you might help me with. For some reason we have decided to go to Vegas next week on holiday. Personally I was pushing for somewhere cool like maybe Canada or Alaska but my "darling" hubby thought somehow that Vegas with a weather forecast of over 110 nearly all next week sounded better.

What I'm trying to find out is any suggestions on eating more inexpensively while we are there (2 of us plus 7 yo DS) Plus I am determined to go to Cirque "O" and wondered if anyone had any advice tips on getting tickets. We are going to be there a full 5 days and I've thought about waiting at those half price outlets each day hoping to score some tickets cheap but didn't know if there was an easier way. I'd pay a bit more to not stand in those lines I would just rather not pay full price.

Have you read the Vegas forum at TripAdvisor? If not, I suggest you go through. Skim through the posts and search for Cirque and restaurant info. There are many regulars there who you will get good, current information from. I always start reading there a month or two before my planned Vegas trips and learn so much!

More like sour plums! I kept reading over and over the post quoted and thought fraud where!

Cloudy here today and a welcome relief from the heat. Only summer clearance I bought yesterday was the blender, $4.95.
I haven't even checked out summer clearance today. It's too darn hot to go out. I did mail a package to my brother but came right back home. Our weather forecast is 95 and higher for the entire week. FrownFrownFrown

Welcome back Sharon!! Long time, no see.

DH and I went to Vegas for our 1st anniversary and renewed our vows in a convertible car in the drivethru chapel. :fun: But I had planned to the penny what we would spend and how, then came across a Timeshare presentation that was giving us a $200 food voucher to a restaurant we were going to already so We decided it would be fun to take a side tour of livable Vegas and make $50 a hour each while on Vacay -- I know they have playrooms for the kids when you go but IDK if I would do it but you could get tickets that way. Plus there are little booths on the strip that sell 'discounted' (IDK how much of a discount) tickets. Have fun though! $1 21 tables are fun and an adducing rush.

The good razors like the intuition were last week only but the multi pack cheapys that are in the bins on the bottom are still on GC deal.
the deal is through 8/27. Just ordered some more bogos...and finally found some $2 schick mqs.

Only found a couple summer items worth buying. Liberated some leapfrog peelies for when toys go 75% next week.

Scored a 70% on my practice exam this morning. Doesn't sound that great but 65% is usually a passing score unless the other test takers are geniuses. Whee

I think it's this one [3m.com] (printable thread to the rescue!), as it says one one scotch brand scissors.
I can never find the printable thread when I need it. I've searched all sorts of ways and thought I bookmarked it but it remains illusive Wink thank you!!

OK. we are really trying to cut most carbs out of our diets and I am thinking of making the TGIF chicken fajita skillet tonight. I can't find out how many carbs are in just the meat & veggies. Do you think the majority of the carbs are in the tortillas? I can't seem to find it via google, figured one of you dieters would know

oh yeah. If you are cutting the carbs, leaving out the tortillas is the way to go. Some veggies like carrots and potatoes are higher in carbs, but the peppers and onions should be fine. Add sour cream too LOL Smilie

Woo hoo! Who cares what the percentage is as long as it's passing! When do you take the real thing?

Dude, that's why I love the sound of WW's new plan, all fruits and veggies are free. I could eat nothing but fruits and veggies all day!

You think summer will be at 90% tomorrow? I reallllllly don't want to step foot in T unless it is! I guess I will have to keep checking on toys too, not that DS need any!
