DH's aunt and uncle (our realtors) are buying it. Our house is zoned commercial grandfathered in residential so it can be used by the next buyers for either. They currently work out of their home and come to find out were looking for office space anyway and our house is a perfect fit Smilie

We did not know ANY of that until yesterday (that they were even looking or interested) and when she called yesterday afternoon to propose this I was in total shock. It was made official this morning. I think I am still in shock laugh out loud Now we are trying to close a week earlier than originally planned because it works better time-wise for us and the house we are moving to is currently vacant.

What a week! A good one Wink

They do 30% every few weeks, last one ended this tuesday or wednesday s the next one should come up in 2-3 weeks...You can check the kohls thread, it is posted there else I will let you know...But in the meantime 20% is your best bet

Ok thanks. That's pretty much what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I have a GC from my birthday so OOP only comes to like $18. I'm probably just going to go ahead and get it and cross it off my list.

Congrats on all of your news too m2c, exciting!! I am sooooo excited for Christmas in our new one too; we have a great front window for a Christmas tree Smilie

Had our home inspection done tonight. When we had that done on this house neither of us attended; this time we both went. Nothing much that we didn't know about already. Sellers are going to have to mitigate radon but that is apparently pretty common anymore around here. The flashing around the chimney and chimney in general needs repaired/sealed which we also knew....I swear we attract houses with that problem - this one had the same problem when we bought it laugh out loud The A/C was broken when we first looked at the house and they are in the process of repairing it. Most of the mechanicals are pretty old and the buyer is providing a 1-year home warranty....which we will probably continue to purchase beyond this year since everything is so old. We had one with this house and liked the peace of mind.

Right now the closing date is set for Aug. 25th for both the selling/buying end but we are trying to get it moved to the 18th which will probably be no problem since the home we are buying is vacant right now Smilie

I just can't BELIEVE how fast this has all happened. And how perfectly. DH has a scheduled week off in August and that is when we were supposed to be DIY-ing our roof Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Now we are going to be moving that week woot
