As count said....at least we aren't USM ....or Kentucky or Vandy for that matter. 8th place in the SEC is better than 1st in any other conference any day of the week.

Might as well be. Something always happens to knock us back when we get close to the top. Been to the baseball college world series a ton of times and produced as many big time pro prospects as anyone, never won the whole thing...even back when we had Bobby Thigpen, Rafael Palmerio, and Will Clark all on the same team.

Appeared to have a good football team coming back this year and o-line injuries killed us.

Been highly seeded in the NCAA basketball tourney several times and something freak has always happened. Got knocked out as a 2 seed one year by a team we had beat soundly earlier in the year because they couldn't miss in that one game in the tourney...shot around 70% from 3-point.

Just learn to accept it over the years. Get excited when we win but don't expect anything.
