I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!




Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

Please, Please, Pray for my mother. She has been undergoing chemo and radiation since early January. her latest mri and ct scans wednesday found a new mass in her stomach. She is saying she will not go back to the hospital, she says she is sick of being sick and tired. My sister, brother and myself are trying our best to keep her getting treatments, She is only 59 years old. The cancer has spread from her lungs to her brain to her kidneys to her stomach. I know how this is going to end but I would still appreciate any prayers you guys could send her way.

It's already been almost 7 years but I still remember how hard it was watching my mom lose her battle with cancer at 69. My thoughts and prayers to your mom and you as well as your family. Whether to continue treatment is always an individual thing but sometimes just being as comfortable as possible for the remaining time can eliminate a lot of suffering for everyone.

I am 37 years old, I have lost several family members and friends over the years, my brother and sister are alot younger (26 and 28). They can't handle this like I can, or I think I can. I am trying my best to be strong for them as well as my mother but its hard.

I know I am just rambling, please forgive me.

That can help you through it, but just remember that it is okay for you to be hurting as well. I was actually on the other side of it as the "baby of the family" even though I was 42 when mom died. I noticed that my siblings and even my dad tried to shelter me a bit from some of the worst things happening. I was okay with that because I'm sure it was helpful to them as well in dealing with the pain.

And as always the Lounge is a great source of support when things get rough or if you just need an outlet if things get overwhelming.

Looks like I forgot to update the thread on my wife. She is home and in a walking boot. She hopes to be released from it sometime next week.

Can we say the same thing about 2014? 95% of it has sucked beyond belief. I'm really,really, REALLY tired. I get up each morning and wonder what fresh Hell today will bring.

Mother has been in the hospital since Wednesday, she is coming home tomorrow. Dr said no more treatments.

Keep her in your prayers.
