Prayer Request Thread.

I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

Google glioblastoma stage 4 to see what I'm up against. I'm not looking anymore, it's terrible.

Remaining optimistic, can walk about 1/2 mile a day now and am doing more and more during the few hours I have between what has become required naps.

Chemo and radiation sound horrific and starts on Monday.

I'm too young for all this stuff.

Hey, if prayers work send it on!

Thank you.....

I looked it up when you first posted it and yes, it sounds very bad. I will still keep optimistic for you and pray that you hold on to hope as well. I will keep you in my prayers and while I won't claim God will fix you or anything that I cannot know about. I do know that just as crazy as it is that you have to go through this...other crays things are possible too... like kicking its ass. Please fight for that. hug Prayers your way.

Please pray for my little guy, Christian. He was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June and treatment is 3 1/2 yrs long! We have a long ways to go, and I definitely believe in the power of prayer!

Brattles, I will be keeping you in my prayers. Prayers are powerful and although they may not always work the way we pray for, they do help to calm your mind, and your soul, I believe. I hope you have a support system in your life close to you, and if not so at the moment, please check with your area hospitals, they can help you. Many people walking life in your shoes and others shoes, have formed groups to support each other. nod hug heart

I will keep little Christian in my prayers for a full and shortened recovery period. hug
From what I am reading he is lucky to be so young with this diagnosis: Acute lymphocytic leukemia is the most common type of cancer in children, and treatments result in a good chance for a cure. Acute lymphocytic leukemia can also occur in adults, though the chance of a cure is greatly reduced. (Mayo Clinic)

Thanks!! He's doing well after spending 3 weeks in the hospital after the initial diagnosis. He has "standard risk" B- cell, so it's "easier" to treat. We have a lot to be thankful for!! It was a total shock and we were obviously devastated, but he breezes right through it. Kids are much more resilient and stronger than most adults I know!

Thanks for your kind words! hug

I could use some myself...again.

June of 2011 I had the double scope done and I remember being in severe pain the morning of... and going through with the procedure anyway...then still so much pain that the next day I went to the 24 hour urgent care and found I had a kidney infection...so I apparently never did go to the Dr for my follow up.

Well...my primary care doc. wanted me to find out when I am due to go back.. the specialist's office wouldn't relay anything until I came in since I missed that follow up. Oops.. 3.5 years later..

I went today and we went over the paperwork from before. I guess he found some precancerous cells in my esophagus that he wanted to retest shortly after that procedure.

I am not super worried.. it likely isn't anything to worry about but I am like...10% concerned and now want to get the scope again before Christmas so that I don't have any percentage of worry.

I might be an extra 5% concerned since It's been 3.5 years... I really thought I had gone for all of my appts...not like I missed it deliberately...but dammmit. laugh out loud

*tl;dr I have precancerous cells in my esophagus...well they were pre back in June of 2011...
Appt to re-scope will be the 17th. Wish me luck.
