I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

Thanks all of you hug I hadn't even realized when I took him in that day that it would be "the last day". He had scratched his eye and was in pain for that so I took him in. I thought he was breathing hard that last night because he was in pain from that...but then the vet took some x-rays and saw he had a cancerous tumor around his heart that was causing fluid around his lungs. He had a cyst around his kidney so he couldn't breath deeply because of that and then the new tumor around his heart (it wasn't there last month when they checked) blocked them from being able to remove the fluid around his lung, though they tried. They said if I didn't put him down, he would slowly suffocate to death over the next 24 hours. I wanted to take him home with me SO badly, just one last time...but I knew he had fought so hard these past few months, dealing with 6 eye drops per day, pills 3 times a day and in the last week, I had to give him IV fluids..and I knew if I brought him home he'd be scared and in pain those past few hours and this way, he passed away before he ever got that bad.

Oh, Autumn, I'm so very sorry! I brought my mama cat in (it was two years ago in January) for what I thought was another round of antibiotics for an infection in her nose, only to find out that it was cancer and was eating away at the bone. I went home without her. It was so hard. My heart goes out to you! You've had so much to deal with in the past year! Comfort

hug It was a very hard decision, but you absolutley made the right one. It was your last act of love for him, to let him just go to sleep in your arms. hug

Please remember my FIL and our family in your prayers and thoughts. His bilirubin levels are going up again and that probably means that the tumor on his pancreas is overgrowing the stint that is keeping his gall bladder working. If so, the Drs. may or may not be able to replace it. If not, his body will poison itself very quickly. He's 94 and getting very weak.
