I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

The entire system is corrupt. The ad litem is seriously delusional with a God complex. Legally, the law says if she chose me she stays with me. But everyone is in everyone else's pockets. I was denied because of my depression. We've all had that, right? But we don't all have a modest amount of money and own our homes and cars outright.

Meanwhile, 4 attorneys are fighting over fees and they took away her right to choose whom she can "socialize and visit with." I am her only visitor. The more you report or complain the worse it gets. It's like waking up in a third world country with someone holding your loved one hostage. Doesn't matter what I do or say, it gets twisted by the judges or lawyers.

The guardians only have to report every 1-3 years so it's impossible to keep track. Frown

I'm aware of those organizations. Thank you though. hugnod Guardians liquidate and put all the money in a trust then take and spend the interest on themselves. My mom should be able to spend down her funds to receive Medicaid - like everyone else - the way she chooses while getting quality care.

My friend keeps saying it won't happen to his parents...

Will you're elected officials do anything? Perhaps you should really raise some hell. At this point, what could it hurt. It seems they are putting the screws to you anyway. I'd make enough noise that someone would listen. Hell, call your local news station. Call Oprah. Call AARP. Kick up enough manure until someone makes the stench go away. The system needs to be changed and it sounds like you are in a prime position to be a voice. I'll bet there is a young attorney who's looking to make a name for their self.
