I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

My uncle passed away last night, peacefully and without pain. He was a minister for 60+ years, and that time was spent at the same small, country church.

Also, my friend is having open heart surgery on Monday. She has two blockages and they are in places where stints aren't feasible. She's only 52, and still has a kid in high school. The Dr. referred to one of the blockages as a a"widow maker". She could really use your prayers.

And Pray for your friend. I've known three people with the widow maker blockages and they all came through ok and I pray she will as well hug

Our boy kitty had another trip to the vet, am a bit mad about this, the vet said his bladder was huge so without even checking to see if he could pee, she sent us to the ER clinic in rush hour traffic no less. We get there, they say well he's able to pee on his own, we squeezed his bladder, pee came out and he continued to pee on his own. Then she asked me if the other vet had tried squeezing it, I thought back and she didn't do that, she just felt it, said his bladder was huge and sent us to the ER. So we paid over $200 to be told he can pee, they did change one of his meds and gave us more of the others since the first batch was almost gone. It's too soon to tell if the new med will help.

Word of warning, if your vet ever says they're giving you a prescription for a medicine that needs to be compounded, ask them if they can just give you pills instead, unless your pet absolutely won't take pills. Finding a human pharmacy that still does compounding is a PITA. We tried six different places (all but one were on the list they gave us) and none of them could do it! One had closed (3 years ago), one only did them on weekdays now, one only did them on a Saturday IF you brought it in when they open at 9:00 am (it was 10:00 Mad), one of them sends the meds out for compounding which takes several days Huh, and two of them no longer do compounding. Annoyed

Wot is compounding? I've never heard of that.
It's where they crush up the tablets and suspend them in an oil for humans or animals. For cat's it's usually flavored with fish or chicken oil to encourage them to swallow it.

It's mostly done with cats when it's a human drug that they're going to use on a cat and they need to reduce the amount of medicine per dose. But in this case the ER vet had pet tablets of the right dosage but not enough to give us the full prescription. So they gave us a compounding prescription and a few pills for Friday and Saturday.

Zoe, prayers for your fur baby. We are fortunate to have a really good compounding pharmacy in town. Your vet should have known who would do the compounding before they gave you the prescription.
