now with Chaz Bono on DWTS (he used to be a she) it has made me curious how others feel.

I have to agree. I've always said you're born the way you were meant to be born. I'm not even a religious guy and I believe that. None of this "woman born in a man's body" business, I don't believe that to be true. If someone told me that I'd tell them that they're gay and that maybe they should just come to grips with that.

I'm sure if I found that person attractive and interesting, I would be fine with a post-op guy if everything worked fine (even if everything didn't work perfectly and I cared for him, I'd be fine)...I know I'm completely straight though, so I doubt a post op girl would do much for me because I'm just not into it, no matter how much I enjoy girl-on-girl pron, the actual being part of it just doesn't do much for me.

I've just never met a transexual that appealed to me romantic-wise, unless Phrozty's hiding something from me Wink

i can understand and accept views such as those of Landers, but i myself have other views and a bit more compassion towards transsexuals (or just people in general) and choose to take a bit more liberal view Smilie

Never said I don't have compassion, but at the same time, when it comes to the scientific fact of nature, they haven't actually changed anything except what they look like and how they feel with a different hormone treatment.

As far as I'm concerned, if becoming a transgender is what someone wants to do, it's within their free right to go ahead and do so if that' what makes them happy. Dontknow

I agree. They can do what they want. I just don't want to think bout it that much because I'm not into it.

Darling, you have your terminology allllll wrong. If you wanna discuss that they're still a "woman" or "man" genetically then you want to use the words "female sex" and "male sex."

Also someone who has gone through the operation is not a "transgender," they are a "transexual." A transgender is someone who associates with the opposite gender as represented by the society they live in. Most people are slightly transgendered, e.g. a chick that works on cars is fullfilling a role that the majority of society sees as an activity for a guy.

Take an actual couse on human sexuality and you'll understand that there are huuuuge differences between "transvestite," "transgender," and "transexual."
