I was up from 2:30 to 4:00 with a sinus headache. Perfectly timed to enjoy the thunderstorm that rolled through this morning. Looks like my yard cleanup work got delayed. Bummer. Wink

It finally dried up enough to get the leaf blower out, and clear off the deck. Last night's storm actually blew away a lot of the crap from the front yard, and the rain washed most of it off the street. I don't think it took more than 20 or 30 minutes to pick up stuff in the back yard, then blow off the deck, driveway, and the sidewalk in the front yard.

I made shrimp and grits for dinner tonight. Old fashioned, slow-cooking grits with four crushed cloves of fresh garlic and a cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese. Shrimp boiled in a ton of cajun spices, and then red-eye gravy made with spicy andouille sausage, strong black coffee, Pickapeppa Red hot sauce, and a little slurry of flour to thicken it up.

Funny, for Foodies

My Farmer grows a type of garlic that originated in the Ukraine, or sone old Russian state. It grows a shoot before the bulb blooms, a long green edible shoot that u can use like garlic but it looks different. Plus, it doesn't have a pungent garlicy odor. It's got a mild flavor too, but still drool

It is my favorite garlic Eat
