Help
OK, okay, I won't post any more threads in the lounge for a while after this, I promise.
Limit OT if possible.
Between my dad's recent hospitalization and other things, I have had a lot of stressful situations going on in my life lately.
Recently, I went over to a friend's (Friend2) house for a little get together and left my DS lite with a few games and other things (totaling approximately $150) because my friend (Friend1) requested that I do so. This friend (Friend1) then left the house, forgetting the DS Lite and all along with a backpack full of my sleep-over necessities (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.) at my other friend's (Friend2) house.
After two weeks of texting Friend2, so many excuses have been made as to why I can't go over and get the DS. I wouldn't doubt by now he sold it to some crack head for $5.
What can I do in this situation? Friend1 is like a brother to me.

AFAIK, they actually pay out whatever judgement is settled upon, and give each party some money for being on the show. Win-win!
I know w/windows mobile there one called like.. myphone (myphone.com even maybe perhaps??) that basically syncs your msgs up with a cloud.
Actually.. I think they just changed sites recently so I have no clue.
Either way, point is: backing it up to a cloud so you can reference it whenever you need.
The only reason I mention this is because I know my phone keeps craptons of history, but eventually it starts pruning it...

OP would win the case.
The Law gives you zero help in collecting the judgement, they just happily collect the court filing fee.
If he's such a douche that he won't return the stuff, a small claims court judgement isn't going to sway him. He'll just ignore it.

That's why I agreed TV court could be a plan, for the reasons listed above
I should have.

My brother is a contractor, he's taken deadbeat customers to small claims. It's useless. He's even put leins on their houses, etc.. They can always worm their way out of it, if they really want to.

There really isn't much I can do other than try to scare him into giving me my DS back? Guess I should stop returning things people leave at my house. :|
