By joining the team with the most sign ups everyone on the team wins a free James Rollins Book. You only need to put a E-mail in. They only ask for your address if you win.

• Invite friends to join your team on the sign-up page as directed on the Website or on the confirmation email you receive upon registration. At the sign-up page, friends will be able to join your team by inputting your unique team code, assigned to you when you sign up. Team members will be required to subscribe to the James Rollins Author Tracker and Bookperk newsletters. Subscriptions may be discontinued at any time.
• The leader and members of the largest team by the close of the contest will win.
Individuals can join any number of teams. Team leaders may join other teams.
The Contest is open to all legal residents of the continental United States, 18 years of age and older by October 12, 2011, excluding employees and immediate family members of HarperCollins, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, advertising, promotional and fulfillment agents, attorneys, author team and other representatives and the persons with whom each of the above are domiciled. Offer void outside the United States and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
Each entrant in the Contest and all team members must be the rightful owner or have authorized use of the e-mail account indicated by the entrant's or member's e-mail address. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account is opened. The e-mail account must be opened prior to 9:00 a.m. (ET) on 10/12/2011.
ENTRY PERIOD
The Contest will commence on October 12, 2011 (9 a.m. ET). The last entry will be accepted on November 2, 2011 (5:00 p.m. ET). During this time period, registered team leaders will be able to invite friends to join their team, and individuals will be able to join their team. Team leaders may not join their own team as team members.
SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
The team leader with the most unique team members at the conclusion of the Contest will be declared the winner. For purposes of the Contest, a "unique team member" is an individual (a) who has registered on the Website and (b) with unique registration information (i.e., email address) that is not duplicative of another team member. A unique team member may join a given team no more than once, but a unique team member may join multiple teams. If HarperCollins determines, in its sole discretion, that an abuse of the "unique team member" rule has occurred, HarperCollins may disqualify votes cast by such members, including if more than 5 of such members registered from the same computer "IP address". In the event of a tie, HarperCollins will randomly select one team as the winner. HarperCollins' decisions are final, binding and conclusive on all matters related to the Contest.
One winner will be chosen on or about November 5th, 2011. Winning team leader and team members will be notified by e-mail. Potential team leader winner may be required to sign and return to HarperCollins an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability (the "Affidavit"). If the Affidavit is not returned within 3 days of notification, the potential winner and all team members will be deemed to have forfeited the prize, and an alternate potential winner will be chosen.
PRIZES
The leader and members of the largest team will receive a mass market copy of James Rollin's Subterranean.(Approximate team leader and team member prize value: $9.99).
Prize is non-transferable and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. Any federal, state, local, or provincial taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
CONDITIONS
By participating, entrants signify their acceptance of the Official Rules and decisions of the judges, which will be final in all respects, and to waive any claim with respect to ambiguity of the Official rules. By participating, Entrants grant to HarperCollins the perpetual, worldwide license to (i) to use the team leader's first name and address (limited to City and State) for purposes of advertising and promotion on the Website. Entrants and all team members also agree to join the James Rollins author tracker and Bookperk newsletters. Subscribers may unsubscribe from these newsletters at any time by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link present in all mailings.
Entrants release, discharge, and hold harmless HarperCollins, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and assigns, and their respective employees, attorneys, representatives and agents, including advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and James Rollins from any and all liability or damages arising from the administration of the Contest, the use of names of the Entrants for purposes of advertising and publicity, and the use or misuse of any prize received in the Contest, including, without limitation, the following: (i) late, lost, incomplete, delayed, misdirected or unintelligible entries, (ii) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest, including, without limitation, entry materials and prize notifications, and (iii) any damage to the entrant's computer and related equipment and software resulting from entrant's downloading of information regarding the Contest or participation in the Contest. Entry materials and prize notifications that have been tampered with, altered, or do not comply with these Official Rules are void. HarperCollins may only use the personally identifiable information obtained from the entrants in accordance with these Rules and its privacy policy.
HarperCollins reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest. HarperCollins may prohibit you from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking or employing other unfair practices or by abusing other entrants or the representatives of HarperCollins.
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND, IN SUCH EVENT, HARPERCOLLINS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PURSUE THEIR REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING COSTS AND ATTORNEY'S FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
Any dispute arising from the Contest will be determined according to the laws of the State of New York, without reference to its conflict of laws principles, and the entrants consent to the personal jurisdiction of the State and Federal Courts located in the State and County of New York over them and agree that such courts have exclusive jurisdiction over all such disputes.
