thanks daisy and whitecastle.. i have a two-day event, and they will need an outfit for each.. i am trying to keep the first day outfit to 100 or less (sari) and the second day outfit to 150 or less (american bridesmaid outfit). I was thinking that since some of the girls are not indian, i should pay for the sari.. it would save them money on an outfit they would not wear again and serve as a memento.. but the wristlets are so cute...
Quote from GoHeels :
The wristlet is adorable, but your reasoning for buying the sari makes sense. Then again, I never wore any of my bridesmaid dresses again. The sari could be donated the same as the other awful bridesmaid dresses. As others said, I think it depends on the girl's financial situation. If they can easily afford the dresses, & everything else they'll need to pay for, I'd go with the gift. If some of them struggle financially, I'd get the dress. I would do the same thing for all of them though. You don't want to embarrass the girls with less money by buying their dress & giving gifts to the others. It's bad enough to struggle financially. You definitely don't want to be reminded of it.
GH said it perfectly - though I do love the wristlet!

AT is definitely addictive! They have really cute stuff, and their jewelry is sooo pretty! I just wish I could afford more, but I do end up buying quite a bit during their sales Smilie

You don't mean processing takes super long, right? Hoping you're just far from OH so it's drawn out shipping time.
I live in NJ, it's not that far.:lol Once they actually mail it, it usually only takes a few days to get it, but the processing has been awful!

Honestly, I only heart it because of my proximity to NYC. I mean I guess I like that I'm also pretty close to beaches and other nice scenery but I'm a 4 minute train ride from NYC so yes! I HEART it laugh out loud

Ooooooh that doesn't count girlie laugh out loud you're a New Yorka Wink

I spent childhood summers at NJ beaches. When people say Jersey Shore they're thinking fist pumping, but I'm thinking boardwalk and roller coasters heart heart

Express Experts ~ do you think Exp will have a free shipping offer any time soon? I'm eyeing something in clearance, but the $8 shipping is a b****.

Shhh don't tell New Yorkers that! They are so mean to us NJ people. I think it's because we pay less tax and we end up having a little more money to live on but it really doesn't make sense. Even if you're cooler than us because you live IN NY, you aren't actually better than us. We're all people for goodness sakes.laugh out loud

I think of the beaches and roller coasters too, I haven't seen much of the Jersey Shore that they portray on tv and stuff. It's a great combo of laid back, lovely, and fun in South Jersey but I'm willing to keep that a secret too if it keeps it that way!

My sister lives in NJ, and it is my absolute favorite place to visit in the world. She's about 45 mins from NYC and an hour and a half from beaches. The area she lives in is sooo beautiful! People turn up their noses when I mention NJ, but I don't see and of the "jersey shore" type of activities either!!!

I think the person saving more $$ is cooler lol. Oh my goodness, I looooooooove South Jersy to pieces. My guy thinks it's lame, but I think he's just parroting what he's heard. I heart the malls, the towns built in the 50s that are stuck in time, the beaches, the small businesses. I will stop talking about it if it's a secret though - my lips are sealed!

It's so nice to find other NJ lovers!!! Isn't that weird that people turn up their noses? I don't know what that attitude is about. Some parts are trashy and some parts are stunning--I actually like both extremes hee hee. I think NJ is my favorite place in the world too Cloud9

Me too. I finally just used my last Sephora GC so I can go to bed now laugh out loud

I ordered 11 bottles of nail polish. Individually. On the good side of that, each one came with a one ounce philosophy purity sample. Thats like a whole free bottle laugh out loud

In my one order they accidentally put a 3 oz bottle. Score!
