Okay. Now onto the bad. My DBF picked up the package from the front office this morning while I was at work and the closet they store all the packages in had been broken into over the weekend. Whoever did it opened up every single package, including my SS gift. Frown The box seemed pretty full, so hopefully they didn't take anything, but it was pretty clear everything had been rifled through. They even opened the card and didn't bother to put it back in the envelope. Mad I'm so, so, so sorry to Empty26. Frown I'm definitely going to be lodging a complaint with the company that owns the building. They better be planning on fully investigating what happened. It's pretty clear to me that whoever did it lives in the building - they had to get through two locked doors that only residents have the key too and they clearly knew where the packages were kept even though the door isn't marked in any way. I don't feel comfortable at all knowing that someone that mean spirited and immoral lives in the building - possibly only a few feet away from me.

I'm beginning to think I'm cursed, though. Last week I got gout and then a few days later tonsilitis. The other night my DBF accidentally headbutted me in the chin, causing me to bite my lip so hard it's all swollen and bruised. And my computer has died twice in the past week - I'm pretty sure there's some kind of hardware problem. Bleh. Frown I'm planning on taking a nice, long bath with my peppermint bath ice cream later tonight!

I'm so sorry to hear about the terrible front office people you guys have! That shouldn't be allowed. It wouldn't surprise me if it's the front office that did this themselves!

I hope your tonsilitis gets better. I had that. For a year. It sucked.

Vsshopper - Comfort that really sucks about your package!

My dillards order got canceled. I'm sad and relieved at the same time. It was 50 bucks I didn't need to spend.

Thanks! I'm not at all pleased with the people in the front office. The two ladies that used to work there were amazing - knew my name, what apartment I lived in, threw parties in the lounge for everyone, were in the office when they were supposed to be, and were just super friendly. They were both replaced around the same time and we never received any sort of notification that it was taking place. I haven't physically interacted with the new ladies much, but my DBF sees them at least a couple times a week when he picks up my packages (I have a slight shopping problem Embarrassment) and neither of them can ever remember his name or where he lives. Neither of them have bothered to reach out to the building and introduce themselves. Frown

hug I think my luck is changing! I literally just figured out what's wrong with my computer. It's a problem with the power cord/adapter. I don't even know how many hours I've spent trying to fix this over the past few months. I've done everything I could think of and the whole time it was just the power cord. laugh out loud

AMAZING gift, thank goodness it arrived intact! Sorry for what you experienced; it's such a violation of privacy for someone to rifle through packages not to mention a criminal act. The management should install a security camera if they will be holding packages overnight and you should receive a call when your package has arrived. I would be furious.

Thanks! hug The closet they've been storing them in is right outside the office door, so for now they've decided to move the packages into the office. I'm not sure what their permanent plan is, though - or if they even have one. The other ladies who used to work in the office would keep the closet unlocked during the day, as long as one of them was in the office. You could come and go as you please and get your package whenever you wanted and there were never any issues at all. Now the new ladies keep it locked up around the clock no matter who is in the office and it ended up getting broken into. Seems very strange to me.
