Good idea!! Too bad DBF won't allow you to keep some of those boxes shake head I understand wanting the place to look clean, but still. I hope that he will understand that!

What do you mean by not allowing too much $$ in returns? I've done two $100+ returns without receipt in the last year. And I think one was $70+ and then that one I did during our meet up.

And all this VIB/BI talk makes me worried! EEK!! I received all my stuff, except for the other account, which they shorted me a lipstick

Interesting, thanks for this insight. I guess they don't want our business! But for me, I think it's good, because it makes me want to shop less. shake head
When VS started their new return policy, I don't buy as much there as I used to. Only when they have the dogs and this last time I only got 2 or 3 and only in the colors my DD's and I wanted, one for each of us or when they have the src going on. But I am not starting to think I need to stop doing both of those because I have these dogs in a box and all this extra beauty stuff. I have given some of it as gifts, some I make up baskets for silent auctions at my dd's crab feed for her music boosters at her school. I have sent stuff back but I feel there is no dent, but I know there is, just not big enough for me to say YES.

he will never throw away any of my boxes (for fear of me getting mad) but i feel bad for cluttering up the place with all my junk so i usually just flatten/recycle whenever i can. my bad! laugh out loud

someone said they had an SA at sephora hassle them for returning (with receipt i think!) over like $100 or something. probably an isolated event, but i've been buying/changing my mind so much lately i want to be careful not to draw too much attention to my acct. i don't want to lose my vib! laugh out loud

and yeah, i'm trying reeeeeally hard to buy less.
It is hard but keep telling yourself that you could put all that money you are saving to good use somewhere else.

Interesting. Maybe the person had old product? And they were surprised at the receipt date? With my old products, I return without receipt since I'll get store credit anyway.

Yah, I don't want to lose my VIB anyway! I'm waiting for what they're gonna do for Jan! I think I will still buy and return a portion :d
you're right, it's prob his subtle reminders and comments that make me eager to throw them away. i hate hearing them. he's getting to me! must. ignore.

and idk. i just hope all of those are flukes/one-time horror stories, and i try my best to stay under the radar. i returned something yesterday that i bought during f&f. i felt bad but it cost me over $50 and i've used it like, twice. i'm going through a purge phase... i want to return everything! i didn't want to return that, plus naked2, plus this other fragrance set. total would be like $150 and i'm scared they'll question it.

I haven't really shopped with VS the way I used to. Thank goodness their clothes don't interest me anymore, at least for the most part.

I too, have slowed down on the dogs. I wish they would stop putting out multiple colors!! I liked what they used to do - that was more awesome, one dog with something special, shirt or something cute. But those are in boxes too. When I've cleaned out my dogs and packed them away, I've seen how they've decreased in size - I guess they're getting cheaper.

I have been proud of myself for stopping on the beauty products purchases too! I'm glad none of that interest me anymore, either Smilie

Until I am low, would I then have to worry. Makeup on the other hand... Stick Out Tongue I've been pretty good for the most part. It feels good! I feel free! laugh out loud I was going insane with the stockpiles!

drugstore.com also has one household/coupon rule and they also state there it doesn't matter if you have several accounts, it's one per household. for some reason i just don't try using another account. it's their loss. i should probably stick to that, i'm enjoying drugstore.com with shoprunner right now.
We have 2 mailing addresses, but they may have some other way of determining it was the same household. Dontknow Sticking with one account is a smart idea.

The one used two of the email gc of 15 or 20 off. The other one that did the 4 orders a day, maybe they thought she is reselling stuff. I don't get why you would ban someone for ordering a lot if they don't return a lot.
Now that you mention it, that may have been what drugstore.com thought I was doing. I bought a lot from them at the time. I don't know how they thought I would have been making enough money to even bother with it though.

Hey ladies. $15.99 bras, $2.99 panties and additional 50% off sleepwear starts tomorrow in store.
I'm tempted to go to the store to see if they have any BBV wireless bras in my size. I sort of doubt it, since I didn't see any there before SAS. That's a great price for those of you who aren't looking for wireless bras though.

I don't know which Sephora you go to, but with the one in Old Town Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Cerritos doesn't question, and I like that (except that one time a manager was trying to argue with me about the fact that I didn't use a product when I did Dontknow ). They did have to get the manager's authorization for anything above $100, I think. I don't know if that's the case with the returns with receipt.

There was this time last year though, I swear, I bought the UD palette at that time like 5 times over and returned it each time. There was something wrong with them each and every time and my account was okay. So I hope those are isolated incidences.

Just be really friendly and nice Smilie

Does anyone know anything about the metric system? I had Eylure Dylash shipped over from the UK - I couldn't find any US stores that sell it - and the instructions say to mix 1cm of the dye with a few drops of the activating solution. The dye is a cream and I wasn't aware that substances could be measured in centimeters... I'm assuming cm still stands for centimeters in the UK. Google wasn't at all helpful. Any ideas?

The store is just like it you took it to UPS, but they have to scan the invoice barcode, then the item bag barcode and then put them in the white bag with the computer print out and seal it up and put it in the big pink bag that has a UPS mailing label on it. No questions asked.
Returning VSD to the store is not really just like taking it to UPS because via UPS you are dropping an entire package off already packed. I could not imagine returning to the store because all my VSD returns are at least 40 items. There is a UPS acceptance location right up the street from my home. My returns are extremely heavy, so I do not have an issue paying the return fee. Just easier for me to return via UPS. However, if I had just a few items, I would consider in-store returning. However, due to the volume of ordering and conditioning myself to hold items until I have a full box, I doubt I will be using the in-store returning any time soon.

yeah the old town one has gotten pretty snooty. back when they were in paseo they were so nice! dunno what happened...

i'd rather not deal with manager authorization so maybe i will just keep it under 100. or go to sephora in jcp.

EL didn't care when I returned stuff that I got a big GWP with.

anni, when we were in CA I did like $250 in returns without a receipt at the Sephora at Santa Anita. They didn't have to bring a manager over and they were nice enough to put it on a GC for me instead of store credit so I could use it online Faint My sister says that they can flag you if you return more than 3 items without a receipt, but I had no problems. She didn't say anything about blacklisting.

edit: oh, it was the actual sephora, not Sephora in JCP

I had brought some other returns from online with invoices too, so she did those first and put them on a GC because they were bought with a GC, and then I handed her all the stuff without a receipt, and was like, "sorry about the hassle, I don't live near a Sephora so I have a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to return..." so she offered to put it on the GC so I could use it online bounce

i want to step up and say i'm supposed to be an expert in units and measurements Coverlaugh

i would interpret it as squeezing the cream (assuming it's in a tube) and letting out a straight line of off it measuring 1 cm.

i guess that wouldn't work with me since i'm in that store a lot... sometimes 3x a week! (tho lately, a lot less frequent) i don't mind store credit tho.
