It's sad that it seems to have become all about the numbers. The loyal long-term members are pretty much here to stay so there is no need to do anything to benefit them.

i just assumed that i had missed the deadline when i didn't see it anymore, especially when i didn't see it on the BF page.
It's sad that it seems to have become all about the numbers. The loyal long-term members are pretty much here to stay so there is no need to do anything to benefit them.
I've never used referrals, not even when I was doing C&S for a while. No one I recommended SD to even knows my user name, other than DH of course. I want to be able to 'talk' freely in the lounge without someone IRL knowing what I said. I recommend things based on what I like, not to get points for anything. Life's too short to mess with that BS. So I find it a little irritating that SD feels the need to reward people who do referrals when I recommended SD to friends it was because I felt SD was a great site for deals.

I agree 100% with that statement - I too recommended people to the site for the same reasons - and I value my privacy - I certainly don't use my real name here - and don't give people I recommend my real SN here either. So for long-time users here - we loose out on this deal - because we value our privacy - and we have referred so many people in the past as it is.
