Guy screwed me on a craigslist transaction

What happened was we did a phone trade and he gave me his Iphone which I thought was fully working. I tested it out and everything seemed good. I go home and the usb cable that plugs into the Iphone only goes in halfway and if I move the cable just a little bit it disconnects from the computer. I contacted him and he says its a small problem and he didnt think he should have ran it by me. Now he is ignoring me after I asked him to just undue the trade or pay $20-$40 so I can fix it somewhere.

Well Im kind of ticked off and dont get how someone would just do that and not try to resolve the issue. And before anyone goes and says its my fault that I didnt test the phone, no one would think to plug in a usb cable to see if it fits in the Iphone. Anyways, stupid of him he forgot to wipe his contacts and his facebook account. What would you do in my place? Let it go? Iphone warranty ran out so its coming out of my pocket.

I can't believe the OP would be daft enough to buy an Iphone without hooking it up to a computer to see if everything worked Rofl2

I agree with the original poster. But you're biggest mistake was expecting an honest discussion from the lounge. I learned quickly that this is not the place to post serious issues.

I also noticed a discrepancy between the internet (particularly this site) and real life. I feel l am entering opposite land. The trick it to take every reply with a grain of salt and think "Yeah...right..." and move on to the next.

It took me 24 hours to finally get one on my side.. yes. Anyways I have posted in the past on ebay forums and after three threads I learned that even if you are right and the person that screwed you it would take less than an hour for the members to find some crap to turn it around and start talking bad about me even though that wasnt even the issue I addressed.

I thought slickdeals was going to be different but I guess I was wrong. Why go after the bad guy when he isnt even here right? Might as well go after the OP and find something about him to bitch about and forget the whole point of the post. There I just contributed to your three pages. I hope you guys get it.

Dont be a vag get ur damn revenge he knowingly said he knew about the issue thats a big Fu that he didnt at least deny it. Once I had a web design client rip me off and leave me access to his ftp. He ended up out of business after I posted pics of a guy fkin a chicken on hos page claiming it was him...
