Guy screwed me on a craigslist transaction

What happened was we did a phone trade and he gave me his Iphone which I thought was fully working. I tested it out and everything seemed good. I go home and the usb cable that plugs into the Iphone only goes in halfway and if I move the cable just a little bit it disconnects from the computer. I contacted him and he says its a small problem and he didnt think he should have ran it by me. Now he is ignoring me after I asked him to just undue the trade or pay $20-$40 so I can fix it somewhere.

Well Im kind of ticked off and dont get how someone would just do that and not try to resolve the issue. And before anyone goes and says its my fault that I didnt test the phone, no one would think to plug in a usb cable to see if it fits in the Iphone. Anyways, stupid of him he forgot to wipe his contacts and his facebook account. What would you do in my place? Let it go? Iphone warranty ran out so its coming out of my pocket.

His fault for having faith in people? Sad that those who trust others are considered fools but no matter this was not an obvious issue and could and is a mistake most would make . Its not like the phone was dead or did not work upon inspection

Ive sold laptops and tablets on cl at least 20 no one has ever opened the box to test it or look at it ive sold an iphne used too all they did was check that It turned on. I could have screwed them all but didnt and they trusted me like u did that guy. He obviosly wasnt screaming crook. And its usually not worth the hassel of pissing someone off by screwing them unless its something very big which this was not. U did nothing wrong and ull just have to be less trusting in the future because people like that exist and most of them are probably on here calling u stupid because they lack human decency. I trust people because I trust I will pay them back any wrong doing ten fold!

Man, you still don't understand the word "partially" ?

Nobody was saying it was entirely your fault (until after you went crazy about it), only partially - I repeated several times that most of the fault lies with the person who sold it to you and didn't tell you, but there is a small portion of the fault that lies with you for not testing it.

How do you not understand this?

Read my 1st post! Did I for once asked anyones opinion whos fault it was or if even it was partial? No! The point of the post was something completely different you idiots. I dont give a fu** if it was 100% my fault or 50%. I said this 10 times and pricks keep repeating the same bullshit.
