of course to certain right leaning members these people were totally LAWBREAKERS and deserved what the police gave them..
The real reason why certain right leaning people support such police brutaility, was because the last time if the police had been more brutal, certain ( colored ) people would of never gain the rights they deserve like everyone else ( whites )
This is why they fear these protestors/protest because it will shake up the status quo, just like it did back in the 60's
And don't tell me that back in the 60's those whites didn't support such police brutaility aim squarely at all the peaceful protesters ( who happened to be black)...
So I guess MLK was a lawbreaker back then... just like those people at UC Davis, that they deserve to treated that way by police..
Jesus christ.. At least we know this guy is just a troll.
Take back the night events
9/11 reflections
So whats the difference btw those and the current peaceful assembly at UC Davis:?
THE MESSAGE !!!
If your message is not in line with the status quo:
Expect POLICE/GOV'T Brutaility
Look at Syria:
Those Pro-Assad gathering = No crackdown
Those Anti-Assad gathering = massive crackdown and military force
Look at China:
Those who are anti japanese protest in China = No crack down
Those who are pro-freedom in China = Crackdown
If you are AGAINST the status quo in any country be expected to face police and gov't abuse PERIOD..
In the wide scope of things America is really no better then some of the despot nations I posted.. We are just better at hiding it
Jesus christ.. At least we know this guy is just a troll.
Seems like certain right leaning people can't come to amit their real intentions

So if you occupy the lawn that is blocking people's right of way too..
Here's the point, no-one was complaining about their gathering, since it is a student body gathering and not random strangers coming into the campus.
The only difference is the MESSAGE and certain high ranking college administrators didn't like that message..

Some of the posters in this thread believe that the protesters did not have to move vs. those that believe that they did have to move per the orders of the police.
This thread could go for a 1000 more posts and I seriously doubt that what ever gets posted will sway anyone from their positions.
The thread should be locked soon...simple as that.
The law of the status quo and not to rock the cradle?
I guess the right to assemble only applies to the message being spoken, don't like that message, well the law says you are blocking the sidewalk
Heck this shit happened back then with the civil rights movement... don't like blacks marching on the street, well they are lawbreakers and need to be put down.. However having KKK marching steps from Congress is not a big deal...
Maybe you don't see it the same way, but the rights guaranteed by OUR CONSTITUTION trumps any other laws put in place to bypass the Constitution.. You can't used "blocking the sidewalks" as a excuse to disband a assembly of people protesting, unless they are given another area closeby to gather..
Face the facts the police and college administrators did not want to move the protest they wanted TO DISBAND it... big difference.. and thus this is a pure violation of their constitutional rights
Oh that's right you people got no gov't powers.....
