PRIZES/ODDS: Five (5) Grand Prizes are available. Each Grand Prize Winner (each a "Grand
Prize Winner") will receive a trip for two (2) to Monterey, California to attend the Dream Ride Event in and around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Trip includes round-trip coach class air transportation for Grand Prize Winner and a guest (the "Guest") from the major commercial airport nearest the Grand Prize Winner's primary residence to Monterey, California; double occupancy standard hotel accommodations for four (4) nights; local ground transfers between airport, hotel and all formal Event activities; select meals as determined by Sponsor including daily breakfasts, on-track lunches and evening dinners including a welcome reception with SPEED celebrities and special guests; two (2) days of on-track ride-along and/or driving experiences for Grand Prize Winner and Guest at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (SPEED to determine final driving experience vehicles and drivers, which are subject to change) and an exotic car driving event for Grand Prize Winner and Guest in the vicinity of Monterey, California.
Grand Prize Winner and Guest must be able to travel to Sonoma, California on April 16, 2012 through April 20, 2012. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute ground transportation in the event a Grand Prize Winner or Guest reside within 75 miles of Event location.
In addition to the Grand Prizes outlined above, each US Grand Prize Winner will also receive a single cash payment in the form of a corporate check which is intended to assist with any federal, state, or other tax obligations related to each Grand Prize (the "Tax Gross-Up Payment"). The amount of Tax Gross-Up Payment will be computed based upon the actual retail value of each Grand Prize and assuming each US Grand Prize Winner's combined tax rate for all federal, state and other tax obligations related to the Grand Prize is 34%, but in no event will the Tax Gross-Up Payment exceed $7,212.12. The Tax Gross-Up Payment may not be sufficient to cover each US Grand Prize Winner's entire tax liability related to winning a Grand Prize.
Approximate Retail Value of each Grand Prize is $14,000. The total ARV of all Grand Prizes is $70,000. This ARV does not include the value of the Tax Gross-Up Payment, which, based upon an ARV of $14,000 is estimated to be $7,212.12.
