At what age do you think you will be able to retire? I am curious to see how optimistic the SD community is.
SAHM directions Please indicate the age that you think your GTWD (go to work Dad) will be able to retire. I know most of you work hard during the day, but that's not what I am asking about

You bragged about how much richer you could have made your MIL if she'd only followed your advice. Then commented on the quality of character of you MIL because she left your wife out of her will. Sounds like you were mad your MIL cut your wife out of her will and did not take your financial advice and I said as much.
But the fact is that I not only tolerate her, I welcome her in to my home, treat her with respect, cook meals for her when she's in town, and do everything I can to make her feel welcome. Then I just avoid her like the plague and lock myself in another room when she starts drinking. But since she's a widow, she certainly doesn't need the only male in her life making her feel more alone.

You were trying to be more appealing for Nagin weren't you?

sillythe assassin of communism and bad guys everywhere. And my initial comment was to the arrogance of people who expect to be in their parent's will.
I figured as much, but you can't come in here and throw accusations around without clarifying them. Especially with me......I'm like a paranoid, coke-up Jack Russel at times.
I'm in the same boat with not expecting things. I try to follow biblical principles despite being a blunt ass, and when I read the Bible it says that you should save to provide for your children's children when you die. It says nothing about saving to provide for your children. I think there's a lot of wisdom in that, and I have no problem with her leaving everything to her grandkids instead of her kid. I have a problem with her getting mad at us for moving and retaliating by removing my bride from her will.
Ironically we actually moved closer. Now we're only 540 miles away instead of 590 miles away.
But I do apologize if I came on to strong. I will do it again though if you don't clarify your statements.
