So now we are responsible for other people's stupidty or stupid assumptions in calling 911?
Maybe next time when I see a white baby being wheeled around by a non-white person, I get to call 911 and report that as kidnapping and have them arrested..

One couples' bondage role play on Valentine's Day ended in handcuffs, but not the fuzzy kind.Portland, Ore., police received a call Tuesday afternoon that a naked woman was tied up in the back of a Subaru last seen leaving a supermarket parking lot. Police deployed "at least nine cars" to look for the SUV and even alerted authorities in Washington in case the car crossed the state line. Twenty minutes later, the Subaru was seen pulling into the driveway of the registered owner's address. Nikolas Harbar, 31, who was the driver, told police that he and his girlfriend were "doing some Valentine's Day role playing." Once police confirmed with Stephanie Pelzner, 26, that she was voluntarily nude and tied up, they slapped a pair of cuffs on the couple and booked them on one charge of disorderly conduct in the second degree. "Role-play all you want," Sgt. Pete Simpson told ABC affiliate KATU. "But when you do something that is going to generate a 911 call, you should probably do it at home." |

Always wanted to go to a nudist beach but just don't have the balls.
Whenever he says something, loungers pounce on him like a crowd of angry Egyptians on Lara Logan.
Generally, you are not considered to have a reasonable expectation of privacy if a concerted effort is not made to conceal the act/action/item in question. If it's in plain view, it's not private.
Do you really think it's legal to be in a public parking lot exposing your naked ass because you're in your own car? Of all the news articles you reference, I would think you would have read about creepers who expose themselves to people while sitting in their parked car? And if they get caught....they....get...arrested.
How would you like it if your neighbor stood in his full length window naked at night with a flood light on in his room, staring right at you like a deer in the headlights, while you are sitting on your deck trying to relax and mind your business? How about if he did it every night? Maybe he might dance too!!!!!! You're good with that?
A person minding their OWN BUSINESS would not care what other people do in the confines of their own property... You wouldn't know what was going on in a car that is NOT yours if you were not actively looking around.
So what if the guy was naked in his car, was he calling people over to show them his cock and balls, or was it because people can't seem to not look inside OTHER people's car, that is NOT their own.. I see plenty of people like that, they can't help but look into another person's car while walking in a parking lot.. Guess I should report people like that since they maybe thieves...
But I'm sure you are one of these
I wouldn't know if my neighbor was stark naked because I'm not a peeping tom? Are you?
I don't actively look into another's person's window? you must ....
Any FYI: if he/she did have the flood lights on, you wouldn't be able to make out squat due to the high lumens being reflected around the room
Are you seriously that big of a tool?
You think it's BAD for people to report suspicious activity on a subway? We have a lightrail train in my city, and I take it everyday. We have signs exactly like that all over the train cars. And I would certainly want people to report suspicious activity. There are some freaky people in this world, and I would rather have people being overly cautious about it than turn their head and look the other way because it's "not any of their business" where someone is getting hurt. That bullshit attitude is for people that don't care enough to help anyone else.
You know, you constantly push your supposedly "humanitarian" views all over the place, but yet you'd mind your own business if you saw someone that might need help.
There's only one word for that:

You can see something and say something all you want, but I'm not playing the gov't scare game since terrorism is all thanks to our gov't hands..You should be more afraid of the BIG GOV'T police state coming then a muslim bomber..
I already stated my issue, if the police investigated and found no criminal acts but a couple just having fun like FREE americans and left it at that it would have been fine.. My issue is that they arrested this couple for the sake of arresting people and charging them with a B.S charge, when the basic 911 report was of a possible hostage/kidnapping not of two people obsence acts in public. Only when you have a BIG GOV'T mixed equally with puritanical views do you get nonsense like this.. These cops got their donut time interrupted and thus were pissed so they use their over reach of authority and arrested them.. its called abuse of power, something many American seem pretty ok with these days
If you like being a snitch, here are two places that would appreciate your effort

Why are you talking about muslim bombers? WTF is wrong with you that you can't even address the points people make?
You ignored everything in my post, just like you ignored this post.
Just because the 911 call was reporting a different crime than the one they were guilty of doesn't mean they shouldn't be held accountable for what they did wrong!
And we're not talking about a dude sitting naked in his car or a couple having sex. Did you not read your own article?
IT WAS A WOMAN TIED UP IN THE BACK OF A SUBARU IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT!
That's not even close to comparable to a couple having sex or a naked man just sitting in his car.
The couple was really stupid to do something like that in public (yes, even if you're in your car, if you're in a supermarket parking lot, it's in public!) and I applaud the person that made the call. They did the right thing. It would be pretty awful if a naked woman was tied up in a car against her will and people passing by just assumed she was into bondage and did nothing to help her.

About the neighbor analogy I gave. You need to reread it because you have missed the point by a long shot.
Also, you need to brush up on the definition of a peeping tom. Sorry, but in my example that term doesn't fit the bill. Nice try.
I see you also have no clue about flood lights. Brush up on interior lighting while you're at it.
Oh and one last tid bit. I always actively look around while in public, while driving etc. Normal people want to be aware of their surroundings. I would think someone like you should invest in a pair of eyes for the back of your head.....or at least ALWAYS look over your shoulder......especially if you act in public like you do online.
I see you STILL can't answer any of my original questions. Are you still trying to google up answers?
