Blargh, a day of reading over a client's "specifications" which are kind of just a collection of mental diarrhea he brainpooped into a spreadsheet. I'm up to 40 lines of questions trying to figure out what he means, and I'm almost through document 1. At least document 2 only has one tab, but it's a lot longer.

He's a good client, at least, and has literally said "Well, you built exactly what I asked you to, but it's not what I want" (and then pays for the additional hours to get what he actually wants). Still, me spending a few billable hours now clearing up a lot of haziness will save more hours than updating a database schema and the code that relies on it.

He took me out to eat for breakfast yesterday and then he took me to an antique flea market in Ft. Worth. I found some really neat items including a vintage mirror and a glass perfume bottle.
