I think watching for the mom isn't creepy at all.
I've been getting oddness like that for the last day or two.
He's coming to us through a recruiter, the recruiter passed it along to us when we pressed for a decision. Recruiting firm wants to become our "preferred" partner, so I think he's shooting straight with us (I get the feeling they want to recruit me, too, my skill set could be billed out at a pretty high rate).
I hope it doesn't come down to money, interviews #22 and #23 are today. 22 was a bust, and I don't expect 23 to have improved since I last worked with him ten years ago. And one of the guys we were going to bring back for a second interview now has a higher rate (which merits him a GTFO in my book, if you weren't good enough for me to say yes on the spot the first time, you're damn sure not worth MORE money).
