i like coconut water too. it's been a while since i bought those ones with coconuts from brazil. my last few batches were the canned ones [amazon.com] from thailand. they are more sweet. not all canned ones are good though, many of them do not taste real, like overprocessed. don't buy the ones they sell in asian stores. i've bought and liked taste nirvana and amy & brian from amazon.

IMO it does tastes like fresh coconut water. heart

@ GH, anni is right there it tastes more like coconut - but again I am not sure if you guys had ever tasted coconut as it is. It is safe to say it will be very mildly sweet and if it is sour it will be milder than that. I am out of words to describe how it tastes Doh

Thanks for the links. I'll have my DH check the grocery store. If they don't have that brand, I'll order from Amazon. I really need the water, but I'm also keeping an eye on my calorie intact. I hope there's not too many calories.

I only do one layer of base coat. W/o a 2nd layer, the Julep polish was streaked. I had to use 2. The glitter top coat may be thicker than usual. I'll try Essie next, & let you all know if it produced better results. If you find a combo that makes the Deborah Lippmann polish last a long time, let me know. I remember having some combo last close to a week, but I've forgotten what it was. Embarrassment I really need to start paying more attention.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that one too. I'm really hoping to find a water I may actually drink. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon for me to buy boxes of drinks & not drink it. I tried all the Slim Fast flavors months ago. I tried one in each box, then the others went in the trash. shake head

We don't have an Asian store around here, so I couldn't try those anyway. I would love to have one though. I want to learn more Asian recipes. It's so much healthier than most meals.

I've never had the liquid directly from a coconut. I have had fresh coconut flesh in Mexico & wasn't a fan. I made my DH finish mine, so I wouldn't appear rude by throwing it away. Teehee That's the only place I've tried it. I'm sure the taste can vary though.

ETA: The coconut flesh we had wasn't sweet at all.

I like the vita better than the ONE , the ONE has a after taste but vita does not.

VS: They say checks still show as active and that they were cashed. They will void them anyway and the option was to 1) send out new checks Nono or 2) put the credit on my CC Ok . They were going to credit me for the bank fees, but wanted me to fax the statement. I don't have access to a fax, but they wouldn't accept a scanned email attachment. Told me to call my bank and have them fax the fee notices.

My bank (Chase): They waived the fees on all 6 "returned" checks. woot They said they can't fax VS sh*t b/c it is a personal bank account, they can't send your account info out like that. I explained the situation and right off the bat they offered to waive those fees (*cough* IMO, those are BS anyway). She did it in 30 seconds.
They said notation on it looked like the checks were written from an account that was closed instead of over-drafted. Shocking

See above. VS was going to make it such a PIA to credit me the bank fees. Get VS to refund credit back to your CC in the amount of the checks, and ask about a credit for the bank charges. I had almost $80 in bank fees, so that made them hesitate. If you only have 1 check, maybe they won't be douchey about it. Comfort

kurpee, how many calories are in the Amy & Brian water? If my DH can't find it in the store, I'd like to know how many calories are in it before ordering.

liggie, do you mind letting me know the calories in yours too, since you have it there? I'm thinking my DH may have better luck finding that in a store. If not, it would be nice to know the calories, before I order it too.

Curling irons take a long time, even after you get good at it. I have to leave my hair on the wand a long time to get the heat to penetrate all the hair. Occasionally, I use a curling iron for ringlets or touch-up. I only do that, when I'm going for a really formal hairstyle. Other than that, it's never used.

coconut water should be very hydrating too, so i think that may be a good way to go, if you end up liking it. it may be mildly high in calories - i think it may be high in cholesterol, but it's good cholesterol if it is.

i did sally hansen base coat/zoya polish - 2 coats/seche vite and it lasted about 10 days once. that was the longest ever for me i think!

coconut water does not taste like coconut flesh at all. like liggy said, it's a very mild taste. it does not taste like coconut to me at all! (i don't like coconut flavored things, or coconut flakes, etc, but i like the water a lot)
but i do like the flesh also - it wasn't very sweet, but very creamy, like coconut milk (which i love in curries).
