Panera Bread was already out of mint crinkles today
I hope you got lots of ideas during your visit!!
Sounds delish!! I am dying!!
I was reading for the venue that I wanted, $7 to pass around cupcakes versus $4 per slice of cake! they sure know how to capitalize on the cupcake for wedding cake trend!

I haven't been to Panera Bread in forever!!
What are mint crinkles? Cookies?
That's really crappy of that restaurant. Which is it? So that I know not to go there, ever, and bring a cake. I went to the Melting Pot in Pasadena and they didn't charge me to keep the cake in the freezer (ice cream cake) and cut it for us, we also shared some with our waitress, she was super awesome.

From what I've seen, yes, all venues charge to cut the cake per slice. I've typically seen it at $7 per slice at most venues. I was excited when I saw the $4 per slice. I don't know about other places where it's not at a hotel and you don't have caterers do it. But yeah, for mine, looks like about 70% of the budget is going to feeding the guests

i think most places dont charge to keep your cake in the fridge. that was the first one that ever did. The service fees cost more than the cake... and on top of that they tacked on the automatic gratuity w/ over 6 guests.

it will depend on the type of venue and also the venue itself. most hotels and restaurants will probably charge, tho the amt will likely depend on how "fancy" the hotel/restaurant is.

So weird isn't it? I hear Bern's is miles away from Shula's. I know they've been featured on many food shows too. I guess Bern's is to Tampa what Joe's Stone Crab is to Miami, an institution you have to try at least once. If we don't go away I may have to talk DH into it. ; ) I have been to The Palm, very nice place.
Our WOB is up the street from USF, you think we'd get better drink specials around here late night but we don't.
Ybor - some ding dong at my DH's job site told him that. I told him every city in Florida is like that. There are places in Orlando, Miami, Lauderdale, even Coral Gables I wouldn't go alone doesn't make the whole area bad. I think I'll have to talk him into it. I'll use the power of my Very Sexy bra for persuasion. :nod :
Maybe the VS warehouse people are hittin' the sauce. ; ) : cheers:
Wesley Chapel. : O Actually DH and I haven't been back to it in months because the chef/line cook can't get his steak temps right. He way under cooks the steaks and drives me bonkers. The one in PA where we lived always had great food. I haven't been to Remingtons, another to put on my list!
I'm more snobby than hubby. He doesn't mind where we go or how bad it is, as long as I'm happy. :heart :
Okay..... so I am out of the loop..... what is Bloom? : O
I think you've got a good chance of making it to Ybor City using the VS bra to your advantage.
Do yourself a favor & don't venture far from the chain restaurants. My DH & I grew up in NC. The popular chains were the nicest restaurants, & we liked them. Emeril's Orlando was our first experience with fine dining many years ago. That was a mistake. We became hooked, & have spent a small fortune on food since then. Our bank account would have been better off, if we'd never ventured beyond chains in the first place. You've been warned.
It sounds like you have a sweet hubby too. A good DH is truly priceless.
I see alvs answered your Bloom question, so I won't repeat the info.
Dh is a food snob too. I kind of am, but he really is. He's got a fancy expense report though :lol :.
We could do some serious damage to an expense report. Unfortunately, our bank account has to absorb the damage.
Oh and the Palm is excellent! At least the Miami location I went to years ago. ; )
I love that! I wish I were taller. I'm 5' 3" and I don't like the way they look on me. I feel like they make me look shorter. : P
I can't help it!!! I :hear t: cupcakes! It's like mini cakes!! Not too much and not too little! :drool :
And I know around where anni is, there's this yum cupcake shop!
I just checked my favorite cupcake shop don't don't see one in FL! Here are their locations [sprinkles.com] incase you ever get to visit one of these places. You need to stop in and try some!
I hope you get your SRC.

PLUS, I would want to try everything there!! :faint :
I don't think I'd do a cupcake tower thing instead of a wedding cake. : shake:
Sweets :whee2 :
Are those things typically with a low admission to get into? Like a regular convention?

I've never been charged extra on a cake I carried in either. We always add to the gratuity. Normally, they'll charge an automatic gratuity, if the venue makes the cake. Someone at MP must have really liked you. I'm surprised they put the cake in their freezer. Most places won't keep a cake in the kitchen, if they didn't make it. It's a cross-contamination issue. Regardless, wolfie was ripped off.

Usually, I'm pretty on top of folica, but this one totally slipped by me. It's a good one. If I didn't already have the products, I would bite.
