I love makeup right now. It has been my obsession for about a year now. I was depotting shadows last night and I laughed out loud when I saw you guys talking about it today.

IDK... but I think that's a good quality about us sample hoarders ~ we can appreciate just about anything - even if it's free, comes wrapped in foil and weighs in at 0.00007oz, that's as good as gold!

Thanks- I just got it in the mail today- that was SO fast! They are pretty bad at packing stuff. They re-used a box but didn't re-tape the bottom so the bottom was falling out when I got it

Aveda was from Marriott. I don't remember if it was the JW Marriott or Renaissance. It was super urban (either SF or Seattle).

Dang, I was hoping kurpee would deliver on this one. I'm about to try this - mash up eyeshadow w/ back of MU brush. Fill pan with 90% isopropyl alcohol (First Aid aisle). Alcohol will evaporate over several hours. Once pan appears dry (3-4 hours), using a penny wrapped in tissue paper, compress the shadow down further. This should allow the rest of the alcohol to evaporate out.

Is that tankini similar to the retro triangle top [victoriassecret.com]? That's one of the few styles that actually fit. I just went through my bathing suits and there's only like 2 or 3 I'm happy with. Shopping for bathing suit tops is one of the most frustrating things for me. I just got the Biofit top today and I have to return it. I have the Gorgeous one on backorder too. It looks really cute, but I'm probably not going to like it because it doesn't sound like the padding is removable.

Do you mean taking all of the eyeshadow out of the little tin pan it is in, or taking the whole tin pan out of the usually plastic outer case that it's in?

If you mean removing the whole tin pan of eyeshadow from the plastic case, it depends on what kind of case the eyeshadow pot is in but for most of them the hot iron technique works. You put a piece of wax paper in between the two hot plates of your flat iron and sit the eyeshadow case on top of the paper for about a minute. Then use something to poke through the bottom of the eyeshadow case to poke the tin pan out.

MakeUpGeek on youtube has a great depotting video. There are a bunch of them though.
