I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar ........ when I met himmmmmm. Not just an 80's hit also a true story. Okay it was a restaurant but then the song doesn't fit as nice. !

i think he came up to me and started talking. i don't really remember the exact details .

they're simple and don't follow any wedding colors. but i like them a lot! i had to move some text boxes around when designing them so i think our names aren't perfectly aligned like they should be... but oh well!

i didn't want to spend $$$$ on invites that just get thrown away, so i used a vistaprint groupon. got all invites + rsvp cards on 1 groupon, spending about $60 total (including groupon cost). i might get custom envelopes using another groupon - haven't decided on that yet.

i've always been curious about speed dating. my coworker went to one and she had some funny stories. i'd think it'd be fun for just hahas

i've actually met some guys off the web that i chatted with for a while. I wasn't lucky enough to meet a funny attractive one. They were all a little weird.

his friends were there. they didn't come with him though .

:drool love wine, Costco has the best prices, I like to drink white when I am out (casue I can drink more of it :coverlaf : ) but like to enjoy a glass of red about evey night. My fav. right now is a blend wine called primal roots.

One of my fave whites right now is a bit too easy to drink....not a big problem in my book though : lol:
It's the Gewürztraminer variety.

Yeppers, they change pretty easy in the shower!

I love a good Gewürztraminer or Reisling. I find I have less of an issue with them. :nod :

Sorry I've been in absentia. We're having a meltdown in wedding land and I'm trying to put the flames out. It's pretty much a full-time job and we're only talking about shoes so far : facepalm: Anni?- I remember you having links to shoe stores online that I had never heard of when you were showing us fun shoes, maybe it was for your B-maids? I've already looked at all the department stores across the US and all the obvious ones (shoe, shoebuy, shoemall, dsw, aldo, endless, etc) and I can't find what the bride is looking for. At this point, I've even been told my feet look odd and I can't wear shoes where the in-step is cut out. :bomb : Send help!

Red wines- I like certain Zinfandels.. Merlot is too tart for me. I recommend the Zinfandel from "Powder Keg" / gray label ... this stuff actually has the aroma of BBQ believe it or not :crazy : , also Paso Creek Zinfandel (2009)/white with label big black tree ... these are good ones to try from the store. I don't know how often you'll see them on a wine list... I hardly ever see anything I recognize unless its crappy or way too expensive. I love Rombauer - circa 2010? It's $45/bottle in -store, 2x as much in the restaurant. I hear this year's bottling sucked. When it's so expensive, you check blogs before you buy :lol : Anyway, when pouring reds at home definitely use an aerator likethis one. [amazon.com] Do a side by side taste test of pre-aerating and post, anyone can see the difference. It's a fun party trick. I think people enjoy a lot more reds when they do that. I know I do!

I wish I'd know that before I washed the ones I ordered. I would have returned them. Obviously, I haven't tried them yet.

I think mine came from a mailer coupon awhile ago. I believe I threw them out because I hated them so badly.

Speed dating sounds fun. I would still have to find a friend to go with, I'm toooooooo shy to go by myself.

I know this is cliche but, you will find the right guy when you're not looking. It happened to me : ) but I do support getting out there and putting yourself out there which I'm sure you're doing anyway!

I like the halter top. Just wish it came in different colors. I think I'm too old to wear snake skin. I don't wear leopard either (Except for bras)


I am still looking for the right guy. My problem is that I'm not putting myself out there and I'm picky. I am divorced with two girls, so I only get every other weekend to go out. And then half the time the father doesn't take the girls. I have no one to go out with except my sister. I don't want to hang out in a bar by myself. Plus I feel like only the creepy guys are attracted to me.

I am no good at dating. I married my high school sweetheart, so I have never done the whole dating scene. Online dating scares me!

Online dating can be scary, but it's really not that bad. Also, you can email with the person first to see if they TyP LyK DiS or if they are educated/not a fool. : lol:



I'm currently doing the online dating thing. It's impossible for me to meet anyone from work or school (the boys are too young! : vomit: ). I prefer to date older.
Two of my friends met their husbands from online dating.

I'm not expecting marriage, but having fun with it. You do meet a handful of genuinely nice people...with a sprinkling of weirdos. :cool :

@GH and Icey - what I Was saying earlier about life pre-hubby and pre-baby...not that I enjoy the drama or the not having an SO part...I miss draining my bank account and not caring because I didn't have other people relying on me to be responsible...I miss waking up on a Saturday and deciding what I wanted to do then and not needing plans or anything...being able to jet off for a vacation at the mere thought...I miss the spontaneity. I'm big on that.

BTW, what am I doing wrong with the oversized & loose fit shirts. It seems that's about all you girls wear. They don't look sexy on me at all. They just make me look heavier. Am I wearing them wrong? Do you all wear belts or something? Maybe, it's my shape.

I met my DH at work. It definitely wasn't love at first site for me, even though he says it was for him. He was totally different than anyone I had dated. Looking back I realize I was looking for the wrong things in a guy, before meeting him.

Funny story that happened to my DH recently... He took me to the Dr. a couple months ago. On the way back, we stopped by one of the businesses he works with. I met a couple of the guys. When my DH went back later, one of the guys asked him where we met. My DH told him & he said, "What's she doing with you then?" He said by the way the guy was talking they must have thought I was a mail order bride or something. That totally cracked me up. He thought it was pretty funny too.

I'm not even going to look. There's already so much I want to buy at VS & Express. I hadn't even thought about Exp in years, until you girls went Exp crazy on here.
