they're simple and don't follow any wedding colors. : coverlaf: but i like them a lot! i had to move some text boxes around when designing them so i think our names aren't perfectly aligned like they should be... but oh well!

i didn't want to spend $$$$ on invites that just get thrown away, so i used a vistaprint groupon. got all invites + rsvp cards on 1 groupon, spending about $60 total (including groupon cost). : ) i might get custom envelopes using another groupon - haven't decided on that yet.
Great purchase! I'm sure they're beautiful.

Some are nice...but one guy was a bit too much for me. He was very obsessed with stilettos and always asked me what shoes I'd be wearing or what color my nails were going to be. An overall creeper-vibe.

I met DBF at school. I always refer to the first year of my program as the "black hole in my life" because I never really left school. While I was studying for a midterm, I took a break, went downstairs and listened to a speaker, "The Yes Men." DBF sat next to me and proceeded to chat with me. He ended up e-mailing me an article that had to do with my research, and we started talking on gchat (occasionally). I wasn't particularly interested in him, and he kept gchatting/texting me throughout the next few months (most of which were ignored), and finally, I let him take me out. He was really persistent...and so nice. DBF is really one of the nicest guys I've ever met, and he's perhaps the single more interesting person I've ever encountered. Things evolved slowly from there because I was busy and not particularly interested in getting into another relationship, since I had ended my 5 year relationship just a few months back. We always joke that I never would have met anyone if not at school, since I was there all the time.

Eventually, DBF made progress, and we hit 2 years on Monday. Of course, that was an arbitrary date, since I was such a pain in the ass for the first several months we were dating. He always jokes with me that I was worth it Smilie

When I became single, I tried online dating because some of my friends had had SUCH good luck (seriously, one ended up dating a diplomat, and he ended up taking her all over the world!). I didn't have much luck. For whatever reason, I decided to go on a date with this guy who was a marathon runner, and I used to run a lot. It got super competitive, and at the end of the date he said, "Girls as pretty as you rarely have anything going for them." That was it...no "but you do" or anything like that. I was so livid. I don't think online dating is for me...not that I need it, since I have DBF Smilie

I'm pretty convinced that is it. Oversized stuff looks terrible on me too and I have a long torso. Also, I have full hips too, so when I wear things that aren't fitted, all you see are the fat parts.

Same here. I am hour glassed shaped and if I wear something that isn't somehow fitted I look bigger. I think the wedge t's look so great because they are oversized where they should be and then become fitted at the bottom. Very flattering cut ..... on me anyway. Wink

These are our favs too. We love German wines.

That is one crazy wedding you're involved in. laugh out loud Did someone in the wedding say that about your feet? Who says stuff like that to people? hug

Thanks for the wine suggestions. DH can look to see if they have those here. I'll tell him about the aerator.

I wish I'd know that before I washed the ones I ordered. I would have returned them. Obviously, I haven't tried them yet.
Primal Roots yes in FL. We bought some in Feb., before we moved and then bought it here in CA. WIne is cheaper here!

You shouldn't need a card. The account numbers are the same. You have to set up your next account online. Krusty will be more help on how to do that. She just had to and it's been several months since I did. I think that you can just set up your next account and use the same cc number and it will work. Not 100% sure though.
I got my account set up a while back, just gonna wait for my card woot

Yeah, I was new to the area and was looking to meet some friends, no commitment because I was ACTUALLY enjoying being single at that point in my life. Hubby had a *minimum* 5 year plan too. Didn't work. According to him, we were supposed to date for at least 1 year before we moved in together, live together one year before we got engaged, be engaged for at least a year before we got married, be married for at least one year before we discussed kids. I met my hubby on December 1, 2009. We've been married 13 months and our daughter is 12 weeks :lo l:
We never rushed anything, it just happened at a rate we were comfortable.
Stability is nice, I agree : ) Plus, I have a great hubby!!

if you want an alternative to oil or butter for cooking, try avocado. i have yet to try this, but i have heard that it tastes the same but it's good for you! avocado has the same texture as butter so i would think it would bake like butter. lmk if you try it!! (i haven't yet kuz i have a lot of butter at home... yes, i am unhealthy :blus h: ) oh, the only thing is, it may turn some of your cake/etc green. but i know you love green so this shouldn't be an issue for you! :lo l:

oh, and it IS cliche... but that is how it happened for me too. : )
That is soo interesting. I need to try that with avocado! We have a bizillion upcoming from our trees in May!
Cake not so tasty without butter shake head And green cake! Without food coloring! Even better!

I've always wondered how you met your DBF, when you live so far apart.

Funny story that happened to my DH recently... He took me to the Dr. a couple months ago. On the way back, we stopped by one of the businesses he works with. I met a couple of the guys. When my DH went back later, one of the guys asked him where we met. My DH told him & he said, "What's she doing with you then?" :om g: He said by the way the guy was talking they must have thought I was a mail order bride or something. That totally cracked me up. He thought it was pretty funny too. :l ol:
You little miss hottie Wink

I had a friend that moved up to Seattle and I always meant to go up and visit her, but never had the chance. Then my 5 year relationship ended, and about a year after that, I went up to go visit my friend, and DBF was one of the guys that was a mutual friend of hers that showed up to this one club we were at and we started talking and hit it off!

Although, I will admit, I kind of got a heads start prior to the visit because I saw my friend post pictures with him and her group of friends some months prior and I thought he was cute, but she never told me he was coming out that fateful night!

So it kind of evolved from there through talking online and such. I thought the long distance was easier, we laid our cards out and was basically like, "take it or leave it" because it would be a waste of time and money to drag it out so we decided to go for it. Our dating/getting to know each other period was online Big Grin

BTW, what am I doing wrong with the oversized & loose fit shirts. It seems that's about all you girls wear. They don't look sexy on me at all. They just make me look heavier. Am I wearing them wrong? Do you all wear belts or something? Maybe, it's my shape. Dontknow
...
That's awesome! Did you both live in the same area at the time or did he move there for you?
...
i think it's being curvy that kills the oversized shirt look. a big part of it is hips - i have smaller hips and a wider midsection, so the oversized tops help me hide my midsection while accentuating my smaller hips. i carry most of my weight in my tummy/love handles so it helps hide that.

plus, i'm a B cup (kurpee has a point with that too).

not sure if you read my follow-up comment - dbf and i actually tagged along with our mutual friends in the same vegas trip. (not as glamorous, but still a fun story) at the time he lived about a mile away from my work. we hit it off that weekend in vegas, and afterwards i ended up stopping by his place after work often. it just sort of worked out that way.

PM me - maybe i can think of some other stores you can try, or find you some more options. zappos? (if ur vip you get free next-day shipping and it's still free return shipping - i think i might be able to invite you to vip if you're not)

also, i agree that aerators are awesome. i love them. smoothes out any wine/liquor. nod
If I told you you wouldn't believe me. Nearly exactly the same, but different. We must all send in pictures for approval by the management (Bride + sister) so that they're not too formal, not too casual and just the right amount of different from each other. That's a direct $#!% quote. Allow me to continue not making any sense... I'll send you a PM with all the gory details. For the record, I have already asked "Ok, lets stop beating this dead horse and just tell me what to buy already!"... alas, no dice SadwalkCan I be your BM instead? Pretty please! Pray

High Five on the aerator!

Yes GH. Yesterday the bride said that about my feet. Today her sister reiterated the point. "In-step cut outs look odd on people with high arches". Never you mind that I won't be spreadeagle at any point during pictures or the ceremony so no one will really see that. There is also a requirement for brown hair. A blonde cousin was rejected from the flowergirl position because of it. It's a pretty tight ship they're running... something tells me that my "odd feet" just barely made the cut, but now I'm wishing they hadn't Coverlaugh

I originally thought my pretty Nambe decanter would do the same job as the aerator but nope. Now we aerate into our decanter!
