yall, for us, giving to family is the normal. after one graduates from college, and there are still younger siblings in school, that one is "expected" to help out. it's not a must, but it's expected laugh out loud

also, i'm thankful we don't have student loans. the parents pay for school. and during my time, when you study, you just study, no work. i guess it is becoming more common now to have working students.
My older brother has helped me out plenty! laugh out loud
I'm glad I'm the young sibling b/c I could not imagine the stress that he must have.

//update// Thanks for the get-well wishes, ladies! hug I feel 100% back to normal today. Whee

True for us Indians too nod Our parents pay for school (100%)and we take care of them Smilie when they are not able to do things on their own in their old age. We also help them financially when needed or if we want to do so by our choice. My parents never expect anything but DH's do Greedy so we often provide them $$$

But helping our sibling is a sweet act IMHO
My sis used to buy things lavishly for me when she started her first job after college heart those days Smilie

My parents paid for school, and I wasn't expected to work. They always said school was my work. I did work some in the summer. Just out of boredom.

My little sister can work me. She knows I love her to pieces. I've never given her money besides paying for her dinner or something like that, but she's been known to raid my closet/makeup cabinet.

I used to have all the sale and GWP dates for almost everything sort of memorized. It's funny how the stores really dont vary too much from year to year in their promos. They stick to what works I guess.
