Bridezilla update.
We left the shoe subject and moved to putting together the bachelorette party. That was refreshing until the bride refused to back out of the planning EEK! We're renting a house on a lake and she was scrutinizing the carpet Facepalm , looked at our booze list and was vetoing things from it that she didn't like. (Yo, you can drink your carbonated piss, but we have to plan for the guests.) I tried to get her to back out of the planning process b/c at least part of it is supposed to be a surprise right? She got to choose where, and what... now we're just hammering out details but bride's sister insists she doesn't want any surprises. I told them to plan it themselves and let us know when to show up, but they don't want that either. Now they've got a full-scale bridesmaid mutiny on their hands with all of us thinking about backing out.
Why does this have to be so hard? Head Bang

I asked in the VS coupon thread but ALVSGIRL do you have a picture of your St. Louis Cardnials dog? I haven't seen that one yet and I have a friend who is supposed to look for me and I just wanted to see it.

Here's the puppy!

Anyone used any products from the Alterna Bamboo line? Opinions?

I was using A/G hair care before, but I think my hair disagrees with it now... it's been getting greasy super quickly. It's naturally baby-fine and kind of oily, but not like this.

I've heard some of the charities will sale some of the used clothes to rag shops to make rags.

When the tornadoes came, people donated dirty clothes and really worn out stuff. The workers asked for that to stop because it was slowing them down.
That makes sense. Why would anyone donate dirty & worn out clothes? Some used clothes may have only been warn once or twice though. The fact that clothing doesn't have tags doesn't make it unwearable. I've got a lot of new stuff to donate this time. I never wore them, before I bypassed the size. Facepalm I'm going to donate to the same place that is happy to get anything someone is willing to donate. I would never send heavily worn, dirty, or stained clothes though.

BTW, I meant to mention yesterday that I agree those bags the last sun kit came in weren't worth donating. I'd be embarrassed to give that away.

Wow, I never realized some people spent so much on bachelorette parties. OMG I can't imagine being stuck with this girl & her sis all night much less pay that much for the privilege. shake head

It may be time to have your DH talk to his friend about it. Noone should be treated the way you all are, when you're just trying to do something nice. If the groom is that good of a friend, he wouldn't hold you dropping out against your DH. Maybe, he doesn't know what is going on & how she is treating his friend's wife. I'm starting to suspect the groom's sister turned her down, because she knew how she is.

Shimmery Wireless Push-Up Bra Top [victoriassecret.com] : Looks just like the picture, only with a little more cleavage. I'd say $30 is worth it since it feels so well made and the "push-up" part feels more like heavy padding. This puppy is coming to Maui with me, we leave tomorrow morning : D :surf :
Thanks for the review. Have a great vacation. bounce

ETA: It isssssss with my in-laws , but we should be cool. This time we're bringing my younger Bro. From there he'll travel to China, Japan, and I forget the others heehee. That boy is only bringing a school backpack for 4 weeks of travel, could not convince him to get a backpacking backpack. Sounds like he'll be real fresh by the end!
I'm glad I'm not the only last minute packer. I usually stay up all night, & through the last thing in the bag on the way out the door. Unfortunately, that usually means I forget something & we have to go shopping at our destination. Embarrassment

That's what I've been doing to lose weight, and it works just fine. Plus I feel like losing 14 lbs. in 9 days (or whatever) is too fast... and likely all water weight, anyway.

I could just make my own juice and enjoy it for what it is alongside water. I like food too much to go on a juice fast, I think. And I hate feeling hungry. :nono :
She'll probably gain the weight back as fast as she lost it.

Took a break to clean my closet. :lmao :

I found so many things I don't want anymore! This is good and bad.. Good because I can donate/clear my space. Bad because now I have space to re-fill. : D
I need to do that too. My shelves & racks are so full the one on the back wall fell to the ground the other day. Most of it doesn't even fit now. There's no room for my new clothes either. Maybe, you can get me motivated to clean my closet out too.

Quote from Taryn :
:nod : A while ago (over a year at this point... nearly two), BF and I totally changed our diets and cut out most processed/artificial foods. Very few preservatives, no artificial colorings/flavorings. So we can't really shop at "normal" grocery stores like Shaw's or Stop and Shop because they only have one, maybe two all-natural aisles. We spend our food budget at Trader Joe's and sometimes Whole Foods for stuff that TJs doesn't carry, but most of the stuff at TJs is off-label products found at WF anyway. (And TJs is "cheap", at least for us--we spend max $70/week on food for two people. Usually around $50.)

I have a lot more energy, clearer skin, etc. since making the switch. Now nearly all I drink is water, milk, and coffee--no soda or soft drinks. We'd love to go all-organic but don't have the money right now, so we do what we can. I've tried to go all-natural with health and beauty products, too, but that's more difficult. I'm getting better at it, though.

I'd rather get aboard the "taking care of yourself" train now, in my mid-twenties, then when I'm 45 and weight 200 lbs. from living on Ring Dings and ramen noodles through graduate school. : )
I wish we had a TJs close by. My DS is extremely diet conscience. Everything he eats benefits his body in some way. His food costs us a fortune. I can't imagine only spending $50 - $70 on groceries. That would be awesome. woot

I'm sure this is old news, but what's the deal with this "A GWP can be applied to a limited number of items, and all other GWPs will be full price" stuff? If there's a numerical limit on GWPs when it's "one per order" in the terms, they should just say so. I'm assuming "one per order" isn't the "limited number" they're referring to. Or is it?

From what it sounds like, you're doing a fab job at staying healthy. I think just keep doing what you're doing, I know for me, it was frustrating for those last few pounds to not come off, but just maintain portion control and exercise and I'm sure it'll start to budge. When I was working for the last 4 years, I didn't exercise, AT ALL. Once I went on an eating binge (it was all you can eat) I never lost those extra pounds until I really started exercise. Now, I feel much healthier with the extra weight off and I'm sure there's more weight I can take off too! Just keep on your current path! nod

I'm jealous of you ladies with TJ's and WF close by. I have neither. Sadwalk
